BRISTOL TOWNSHIP -- A knife-wielding robber who entered the Windsor Pharmacy on Wednesday night was taken down by a store clerk using a handgun, police said. Matthew Perry, a 21-year-old Middletown Township resident, allegedly went into the pharmacy just after 8:30 p.m., displayed a knife, and demanded the pill oxycontin. Police said he began to struggle with a store clerk who resisted him. A second store clerk, who had a valid permit to carry a weapon, pulled out a handgun and fired one shot at Perry, hitting him in the arm and chest, according to police. Police said Perry fell to the floor, and was taken to a local hospital by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad. Perry is being guarded by Bristol Township Police, and will be charged pending a review by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office after his release.

I think it is very hard to obtain a ccw in New Jersey. This clerk must be very lucky.

Matthew Perry?

Did he say “Could I BE any more shot?” after he was hit?

: )

The ironic part is now that the guy’s injured and in pain, some doc might write him a scrip for what he wanted in the first place....

A great way to begin the day. Fantastic. I’m glad more people are fighting back and kicking this scum to the curb.

Too bad, it didn’t kill him. You know he’ll be back or go to another pharmacy later on. That clerk may not have a gun.

“Too bad, it didn’t kill him. You know he’ll be back or go to another pharmacy later on. That clerk may not have a gun...”

Yep, you’re right. Different states have different laws regarding self-defense etc. Here, he probably would have be dead, as the clerk would have emptied the gun into him. They’re better off dead since now he’ll sue, his family will testify what a good boy he is, etc. Its best that only one story gets told.....yours.

why the stressing of 'a valid ccw' in the article ???

peasants arent allowed self defence w/o prior 'permission' from the state ???

During these difficult economic times, please do your best to save taxpayers some money: use The Mozambique Drill (two in the chest, one in the head). Use it multiple times, if necessary.

“His chest moved! Firing!”

Do you really want a bunch of drug crazed idiots running our streets. They are bad enough now, much less if you legalize it. You must do drugs for you to say such a thing. You've got to be kidding. What a crazy idea. Hopefully your are being sarcastic.

My brother lives in Bucks county and picked up his CCW this year .He told me that the most time consuming part of the whole process was going through Courthouse security. :)

Bush's Fault!
If this poor youth had Universal Healthcare he wouldn't have to commit armed robbery for his medication.

GREAT, it should be that way everywhere, there would be a big difference if the bad guys knew there was a big gun waiting for them. But then, they don't think, that is the problem. Tennessee, Texas, two states I do love, great people. Have family in Ridgely....

we do here in Texas too.

As the ad goes....DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS
