Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) said Wednesday that Republicans shouldnt oppose President Obama as a reflex and should praise him when he succeeds.
Speaking at the National Republican Senatorial Committees (NRSC) spring dinner, Romney was thick on criticism of Obama, but also said Republicans shouldnt root against the man Romney might well face in the 2012 presidential election.
After offering a few choice words for Obamas early conduct in office, Romney suggested its OK to hope things go well under the new president.
I also think its important for us to nod to the president when hes right, Romney said. He will not always be wrong.

That's a good way to describe Mitt.
There go his Presidential hopes.
If he can’t understand what “I hope Obama’s policies fail” means then he isn’t smart enough to be Scout Leader, much less POTUS.
He is always wrong.... Barak Hussein Always Wrong Soetoro Obama
“should praise him when he succeeds”
I can’t hold my breath that long.
Has been so far, Romney is a wuss.
What’s up with Mitt? Did he catch a bad case of LindseyGrahamitis?
You’re an idiot, Romney.
I was starting to warm a little to Mitt, but this killed it.
Obama is EVIL VERMIN FILTH. He works to set back all that every brave American gave up — all the lives lost — for the past 60 years.
Any fool that does NOT want this trash to FAIL is a moron.
Conversely, anyone who has the guts to stand up and say Hell YES! I want Bambi not only to FAIL, but to ROT AND BURN IN HELL... might actually turn out to be the leader we need, and snatch success from the jaws of failure.

Is it okay to expect gasoline to put out a fire and “hope” for the best? Honestly, if it did, I would question reality. Obama’s economic plans in particular are making the problem worse. The market needs to correct and he isn’t letting that happen. There’s a reason the Great Depression was “Great”. So yes, I want Obama to fail so America can succeed.
If on the other hand he implements a strict laissez faire, free market approach, I’ll be all for his success.
Hell no.
Let me guess...it’s all in the spirit of bipartisanship.

I love these articles! Nothing but vindication of how most of FR was right and the Mittbots were DEAD WRONG.
But hey, I only dislike Mitt because he’s a Mormon. yawn.
I see from this thread that we fall, as usual, for the exerpted comments, which, I confess, I was about to do before I reminded myself to go read the whole thing.
We are so easily manipulated.

I feel like Sarah is the only 1 I’m rooting for now, and I was hoping that Romney would be the nominee in 2012.
What the heck is wrong with the Republican Party? I wrote the RNC last night asking them when they’re going to fight back. I actually get people switching to the Independent, Libertarian or Conservative Party now, and I never thought I would feel like that :(. I was born a Republican, I was only a kid when Nixon was in but I loved him, same with Reagan, what happened to this party?
I’m just so frustrated now and I truly believe that Republicans want to be in the minority or they feel like the Democrats do and they’re thumbing their noses at us.
