When Harry Smith interviewed Pres. Obama earlier this week, I noted that his idea of "speaking truth to power" was to suggest Bo the dog was out of control.
But when Smith had a Republican in his sights this morning, the mild-mannered Early Show host suddenly went Rambo. Smith, raising his finger, scolded Mitt Romney for pointing out that Pres. Obama's response to the Iranian situation was far weaker than Ronald Reagan's vis a vis the Soviets.

Amazing video of Harry Smith scolding Mitt Romney for daring to point out Obama’s Iran response not up to “tear down this wall” standards. Ping to Today show list.
It was George Bush's policy of direct engagement and support of liberty that has led to the people of Iran seeing the measure of freedom now established on both sides of them in Iraq and Afghjanistan...and desiring it for themselves.
Obama cannot possibly go too far in recognizing that, or he absolutely repudiates himself and his entire foreign policy.
...but the fight in Iran is far from over, and is getting brutal.

RIGHT ON!!!!!! President GW Bush deserves MUCH credit!!!!! It needs to be said more about what a great President he was! His legacy will be the war on terror and his appointments to the Supreme Court.
How did Romney respond? I can’t check out the video right now. If he was gentlemanly about it, like too many Republicans are, then the “news” media will continue to walk all over them. If we ever get a leader who is willing to fire back at Smith and his ilk, and demand that they drop their bias, then just maybe we will have a winner.
It was George Bush’s policy of direct engagement and support of liberty that has led to the people of Iran seeing the measure of freedom now established on both sides of them in Iraq and Afghjanistan...and desiring it for themselves. ..........................................Yes, and that’s what it is really about. They don’t want Bush to get credit, they want it to fail so they can say it was all Bush’s fault.
Squabbles amongst socialists are always so messy.
Harry Smith is nobody.
Did Mitt flip, as usual?
The clip doesn’t show Romney’s response and i, too, wondered
if it was a bit weak.
Gentlemanly, for sure.
Slick Willard would definitely approve an un-Reaganesque response, since he never supported Reagan.
And who is to say that the Iranian regime is not on the verge of crumbling?
Newsbusters did not give Romney’s response. What a shame. I have no problem with a broadcaster, whether it’s Couric or Smith or anyone else, saying anything they want to an interviewee as long as they give the interviewee’s response.
There are indeed differences between the Soviet Union’s situation and Iran’s. I’d like to see Obama be more like Reagan and Bush on the international stage, but I also like to see all viewpoints fully explored. Are conservatives scared to allow a full presentation of, in this case, Obama’s strategy?
This isn’t about Romney. It is about Smith and the totally in the tank for Obama MSM. FYI: Romney was right on the mark with his comparison.
“Journalism” and “Integrity” are a contradiction in terms
Imagine a wipe like Harry Smith wagging his finger at a national politician during an interview
Neither is Romney.
He’s got more hair.
