Va. Governor Uses 1½ Days Of Workweek For DNC Job (Democrat Hypocrisy Alert)
The Washington Post ^ | July 9, 2009 | Anita Kumar

Timothy M. Kaine said he has been spending a day and a half of each workweek handling fundraising and policy matters for the Democratic National Committee, a departure from his pledge to conduct most of his national party work by phone and fax and restrict it largely to evenings and weekends while he is governor of Virginia.

In an interview in his office on Capitol Square, Kaine said he typically spends one day a week traveling as his party's national chairman and half a day working at the party's headquarters in Washington.

But Kaine said he remains in constant contact with staff from the governor's office by cellphone and e-mail when he is gone. To help, he said, he began carrying a BlackBerry.

If Sarah Palin had done this in Alaska, then the ankle-biters would have been in overdrive filing ethics complaints against her.

Obama used his job as a U.S. Senator as nothing more than a platform to run for the presidency.

He hardly warmed the chair of the job he was being paid handsomely to do.

He’ll just use the Algore no-controlling-legal-authority dodge and the driveby media will forgive him or drop the story and in some cases both.

Run him out of office with ethics complaints.

You mean Soros would have funded more out-of-work attorneys to fly to Richmond and file lawsuits?

Richmond ping.

Doc Thompson on WRVA has launched a “Where’s Tim Kaine” campaign. Talked about it on Glenn Beck when he was subbing for Glenn this week.

State employees working full time are about to lose their jobs, but Timmy gets to work part-time and keep his.

Something’s not right here.

It’s interesting to read the comments posted at the WaPo site. Normally comments there are overwhelmingly pro-RAT but the response to this story is heavily anti-Kaine. Several impeach him type comments.

I have to wonder if this is going to have any effect on Deeds. It really is rather audacious.

Ah, but he can say whatever he wants. His job will end soon. Elections are in November for VA Governor, and the state constitution says he cannot be reelected. So he’s a lame duck.

Sorry if I offended any ducks out there. Let’s say he’s just LAME.

GO BOB MCDONNELL!!!!! His democratic opponent, Creigh Deeds sound too much like “Greedies.”

Timmy gets to stick the citizens of Virginia for 1 1/2 days a week, yet the commonwealth is in such a mess, they’re closing rest stops all up and down their interstate system.

Kick Kaine to the curb now!

What? Does Kaine think he is a union honcho or something? Get to take time off from his real job to work at a second job?

“But Kaine said he remains in constant contact with staff from the governor’s office by cellphone and e-mail when he is gone”

Talk about a 0! Kaine has absolutely no discernible accomplishments to his credit here in VA. Were he a halfrican like 0bama, we could call him “zer0’s mini-me.”

He only spends half a day working in DC 'cause he's stuck in traffic the other half day.

We should be glad he spend so little time playing governor. If he worked full time as governor he'd probably close all of the interstate rest stops and welcome centers.
