7 protesters ousted from Fort Worth City Council meeting By DEANNA BOYD dboyd@star-telegram.com

FORT WORTH -- Seven protesters were removed from Tuesday night's City Council meeting after they repeatedly demanded to be moved up on the agenda to speak about last month's police raid at the Rainbow Lounge.

"Hear us now! Hear us now!" five men chanted in a hallway outside City Council chambers. The men, believed to be members of Queer LiberAction, a Dallas-based gay rights group, were led out of the building by city marshals.

Inside the meeting, the group's founder, Blake Wilkinson, repeatedly interrupted Mayor Mike Moncrief.

"We're sick and tired of being put on the last of the list," Wilkinson said.

Moncrief, at one point banging his gavel to try to regain order, attempted to explain the "house rules" to Wilkinson, stating that the agenda would not be changed but that everyone who wished to speak would be heard.

The whining homo-babies let Ft. Worth know exactly what they are about last night. I mourn for our great city if they are coddled.

Do not despair.

God will have plenty of time to listen to them.

Just wait until O-bomb-a's muslim brethren finally succeed in implementing Sharia law for our country. These little girl-boys will be worried about a whole lot more than having their night club raided or being 86-ed from a council meeting.

Wait. There are no sodomites in Muslim countries are there? Silly me. ;-)

TABC and Dallas police raided another gay bar, whose only crime was to move its location. Once again, the TABC is acting like cops when they should be dealing with paperwork.

Excessive police actions are wrong, no matter who is being targeted. It’s time to take away the police powers of TABC.

Agreed! Do you have evidence that hillbilly bars or heterosexual night clubs, etc. are being raided or is this just something unique to sodomite bars and if so why do you think they are being targeted?

This was about some sort of issue with the popular girls at the local junior high? What did the little bimbos want?

The homosexuals in Fort Worth are trying to receive the sort of protected status minority clubs and elite social clubs have. Night clubs that cater to various non-affluent white clienteles, such as rednecks, goths, bikers, etc., receive little media publicity or public protest when the local cops or the TABC (or its equivalent in other states) decide to raid and harass. It is well known that such treatment of black or Hispanic clubs has to run interference from activists and the media. Raiding country clubs will incur the wrath of wealthy persons who are big contributors to city council members and state legislators. Police and TABC agents understandably avoid such venues.

You can hardly blame the homosexuals for using tactics that have worked for racial and ethnic minorities. The fact is that laws restricting personal behavior tend to be enforced against those who lack political clout. Selective enforcement of such laws has been the case for a very long time, at least since the 19th Century.

So the answer to my question is no. You do not have evidence that the other clubs are being attacked by the police the way you say the sodomite clubs are correct? Nor do you have evidence that the police raids were unjustified is that also correct?

Could it be that the sodomites just happen to be a bunch of whiny ass crybabies that don't like to follow rules?

Just askin.

The thing that spurred the raid was the near-constant providing of alcohol to minors.

the providing of alcohol to minors is de facto policy among the gays, happens all the time, moreso than straight people, IMO. It makes their task easier.

Sadly for them, there are laws against it. I support the enforcement of these laws, as it maintains our society. If homosexuals get upset because of this enforcement, it is an indicator that they are up to no good.

I have lived in the area where these raids occurred most of my life, and have not heard of a police raid of an establishment catering to an upper income clientele. When these events occur, they seem to occur in clubs that cater to non-affluent whites. The police used to raid minority clubs, but have not done so in recent years as black and Hispanic political power has increased.

I have no problem with laws restricting alcohol consumption, narcotics, pornography, gambling, etc., on the local level. However, night clubs are private property, and police should only be called when an actual crime is being committed. Public drunkenness traditionally was enforced only when the drunk entered public property, such as the street. There was a case several years ago in Irving (about 20 miles east of Fort Worth) where the cops arrested drunks at a hotel bar even though most of them were staying in the hotel and lacked rental cars.

It is wrong for conservatives, who are so concerned over proposed leftist infringements of liberty such as nationalized health care, gun control, "hate crimes" laws, etc., to support intrusive government with respect to the policies they favor.

That makes a lot of sense. Middle-aged gay men tend to troll for teenagers, and it's easier to attract teenage boys if they get a drink out of it.

Keep in mind it was the TABC that a couple of years ago conducted raids in hotel bars and were arresting people for public intoxication despite the fact those they were arresting were staying at the hotel and not bothering anyone.

TABC has a history of bullying everyone, not just gay people.
