I see nothing about mandatory counseling on assisted suicide in the bill, page 425 and on ...

This is sin.
Close to two decades ago my father was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with dehydration.
He was in his late sixties.
I rushed to the hospital 100 miles away and when I got there I talked to his doctor.
The FIRST thing he asked me was do I want them to pull the plug.
My dad had insurance and was also on Medicare.
I instructed them that no I did not want them to pull the plug.
I instructed them to take the "extraordinary measures" (not worded that way but it's clear what I mean) of re hydrating him.
He came out of the hospital a couple of days later and lived to a ripe old age.
"Extraordinary measures" can cover a lot of ground.
So I am not sure if "terminal illnesses" and "extraordinary measures" is connected in the bill, but my experience was frightening.
Thanks for saying it. I told some of my friends the other day, “Obama is trying to kill me.” I’m almost 58, and I’m on his list of people he will one day most likely kill. Oh, he won’t PERSONALLY do it, of course, and it may take a few years for things to get that bad, but it will coincide with all of us Boomers’ old age.
Our government has turned sick.
Say it often and loud: This is a “Eugenics and Euthanasia” bill.
I think we’ll be lucky to get the Gulag.
Investment News Convered it, it was posted here, search it.
Rep Jim Miller's bill from CA. Esentially put your 401(k) into a Gov't run annuity earning 3% and at death they take 50%.

That is an incredible story...they wanted to pull the plug because of dehydration? In his 60s?!?!? WTF?
“The bill doesnt say what the author claims. I mean if you really twist it and squint your eyes you might be able to find a way to claim it says it, but it really doesnt.”
And there’s no way the U.S. government could take over the auto industry or create czars.
This bill inverts the presumption of saving life. It mandates that every senior must have a Health Care Directive shoved in front of them at least every 5 years. The way I read the bill as written there is no longer a default presumption of saving life. Instead you have to specifically ask for it (presumably by checking the "No-DNR" box or somesuch).
And they will doubtless cajole you and encourage you to check the Yes-DNR box on the form, saying "dont be so selfish, dont be a burden on your family, it's really for the best", etc.
Being allowed to have a family member present is conspicuously missing from the bill. Because of the HIPPA privacy law family members will by law be excluded from the meeting to sign the document.
Exactly. When that poor soul was starving to death and dying of thirst, I really thought I was living in the twilight zone. A part of our country’s very SOUL died that day. Don’t anyone tell me the Marxist fraud wouldn’t LOVE to inflict that on us!
You are more than welcome to read it your way: I read it in agreement with the title and my reading has led to much success over the years. I dont trust the DEMORATS as far as Zell Miller does! and thats not as far as a wet spit ball will fly! if You want to discuss the sex of mosquitos then go ahead and let this Horrible bill pass and destroy Our America! May GOD Save AMERICA!
Bless you, and may God richly reward you for saving your dad’s life. May you yourself live a long life, one that is not prematurely taken by your own government.
If we don't start taking it to the streets soon America as envisioned by our Forefathers will soon cease to exit. At this rate on health care people in America will soon become Soylent Green because it will be the green solution to the global warming problems the libs want everyone to buy into and it will be a bill passed by our congress and signed by our president. Yeah it sounds extreme but who would have thought that the current bill on health care would ever be written and seen in congress and who would have ever thought the American people would stand for the government taking over private businesses such as the automobile and banking industries and put the US into trillion dollars of debt.
Defeat Marxism now. Call, Write, E-mail, Blog, Tweet, and March on your political office holders now regardless of party affiliation.
My poor Mom is very stressed by this. She talks to me but tells me that my Dad, who is a veteran, is so upset she is afraid for him.
Obama is already killing my Mom and Dad. Why?, not for themselves, but because they are worried for my sister and me and the fact they will deny us health care in the future.
There are no more wonderful people on earth but them. I am ashamed of what we have become.
I am so stressed over this. My heart breaks for them.
This is boiler plate that is seen in high end wills/trust, and should between your attorney and your doctor, but now the Gov't is in the way.
It may not be what "Betsy" says, but I want a Freeper legal eagle to tell me this is kosher, until then it is not, something still smells here.
