can’t we just bring back Jack Ryan? At least when he screwed people he did it out in the open...
Good for you. Your way or the highway. Just what the party needs to keep the seat in lib dem hands.
Since Kirk lives near Chicago, he should have heard that Chicago has a high murder rate, although it’s illegal for anyone, except police officers and aldermen, to own guns, in Chicago. He’s seen proof that gun control laws don’t decrease crime, but his latest rating from Gun Owners of America is 0%.
A weapons ban of any sort only removes those weapons from the hands of citizens who would never use them on LEOs.
H’s also a gun grabber
I listened to that also the Rino is clueless when he was talking about banning assualt weaponsand he can try to explain away his cap and tax vote but it won’t work. He claims vote for me or get another Blago like Gov.

How did he explain his vote against drilling in ANWR?
This is one 10th District Hard-R that will not be voting for Mr. Kirk.
In which town do you live? I live in Northfield. Who should win Kirk’s U.S. House seat? I read that State Rep. Coulson might run. I hope that a conservative elected official will run, but the majority of state legislators and county commissioners, in that district, are Democrats or RINO’s.

And Kirks record of standing alone against corruption:
- Mark Kirk received a donation from Congressman Bob Ney, who was indicted and pled guilty to bribery. Kirk returned the donation after Ney was convicted.
- Kirk received funds from American Prosperity PAC, which was controlled by Congressman Duke Cunningham, who had been indicted on federal charges. Kirk returned the donation after Cunningham pled guilty and was convicted.
- Kirk accepted $1000 from top Democrat fundraiser and Obama chum Tony Rezko, who was indicted on federal charges of attempted extortion, money laundering, and fraud. Kirk returned the donation after Rezko was convicted.
Great judgment there, Marky!
Kirk being endorsed by former Govs Jim Edgar & Jim Thompson, the Senate RINOs and fellow combiner slime Kirk Dillard was expected.
However, Kirk being endorsed by U.S. Senators Mitch McConnell, John Kyl. Sam Brownback and Illinois Senators Matt Murphy and Steve Rauschenberger is disappointing at best. At least Bill Brady isnt on board yet. Theyll also reporting Jim Durkin endorsed him, but didnt Durkin just say last week that Kirk is damaged goods because of his Crap n Trade vote?
Confusion over Kirk endorsements
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
Following calls yesterday by Illinois Review, it's become clear that several individuals listed as endorsers of Mark Kirk in the media and by the Illinois Republican Party are, in fact, not officially endorsing the congressman. In fact, it seems that aside from a handful of moderate/liberal lawmakers, Rep. Kirk has not received the outpouring of support he'd expected from his state and federal colleagues.

Very interesting. I did find it strange when the leftist media reported that normally staunch conservatives like Steve Rauschenberger and Matt Murphy had endorsed Kirk. I could see them endorsing him in the general election but not right off the bat in the primary. Plus Jim Durkin had said Kirk's cap-and-trade vote would doom his chances last week, but now he's endorsing him? Didn't make sense.
This is the second time in a week that the mainstream media seems to reported incorrect details about Kirk, the first being when they falsely reported that Kirk had “dropped out” of the Senate race (this had the effect of the combine working to “clear the field” of Andy McKenna in the Senate race, so Kirk could be “convinced” to reenter the race.)
I smell something fishy going on. I would have posted this as its own thread if Illinois Review had named names.
Illinois politicians running on a “reform” platform are a dime a dozen. As a 5 term congressman, everyone knows Kirk won’t bite the hand that feeds him.
I think any conservative that runs against Kirk in the primary should pound this point home at every stump! In every debate, make Kirk get specific with his “reforms” and then hit him with the “And what if it doesn’t pass/work; then what will you do?”
Rush Limbaugh notes that he knows about Obama's record is, and "it's not new, it's not hope, and it's not change". We might say something similar about Kirk's record since 2000. It's not thoughtful, it's not moderate, and it's not reform.
I smell the combine. Smells like dead rats mixed with rotten fish and bad cologne.
