that was such a moving picture that I tried to hunt down (couldnt' rememember) if there was a muslim connection to that awful, sinister tragedy. I noodled around the UK Guardian site for over ten minutes, checking out this and that "special feature," and found no reference whatsoever.

Was it a muslim thing?

Was it a muslim thing?

Yes, it took place in Beslan, North Ossetia, Russia, in September, 2004. Many hundreds of school children died, it is is only by the grace of God that all of them didn't. Some were rescued in the ensuing battle between the Muslims (Chechnyan and Arab jihadists) and the Russian Special Forces.

The complete story of this atrocity (and dire warnings about Muslim plans for more of the same) are contained in John Giduck's excellent book,

Terror at Beslan

Oh yes. What’s more, no Americans or Jews were among the victims, so it disproves the theory that terrorism would go away if their grievances against the US and Israel were addressed.

Often I feel that if the United States and Israel didn’t exist, the Islamic world would invent somebody like them to blame all their problems on.
