Upcoming Healthcare EventsI wanted to let you know about 2 very important events coming up this week related to healthcare.
The first event is a live call in show on UNC-TV concerning the issue of healthcare. This event will be on Tuesday, August 25th at 9:00pm. I will be joined by Congressmen Watt, Etheridge, Price and Miller. I encourage you to call into the show to not only ask me about where I stand on the issue of healthcare, but where these other elected officials stand as well. You may submit questions in advance at, www.unctv.org, or by calling the program live at 1-877-885-4371.
You may or may not have heard about a debate challenge I issued to the 3 potential Democratic primary candidates for the U.S. Senate last week. Recently I received an invitation to debate Kenneth Lewis on the issue of healthcare. I responded to Mr. Lewis by stating I would be more than happy to debate on the issue of healthcare as long as Cal Cunningham and Secretary of State Elaine Marshall would participate as well. The people of North Carolina deserve to hear where the potential Democratic nominees stand on this crucial issue.
I asked my staff to reach out to the North Carolina Medical Society to see if they would be willing to host this debate. The Medial Society agreed to host the debate as long as all 3 would attend. Unfortunately, my office received word from Mr. Cunningham that he would not participate and we did not hear back from Secretary Marshall. Mr. Lewis did agree and I want to commend him for his willingness to let North Carolinians know where he stands on this issue. However, I made it clear that I would not engage in political stunts designed to elevate one candidate over the other. Instead I will be participating in a forum with Medical Society members to share with them my plan for healthcare. To learn more about my plan for healthcare please visit, www.burrforsenate.com.

For a list of UNC-TV stations, see
here. I'm trying to find an internet stream, if anyone knows of one please let me know.
The event later in the week is being used by Kenneth Lewis to make a name for himself. Burr originally wanted to debate Lewis, Sec. of State Elaine Marshall and Cal Cunningham all at once, but when Marshall didn't respond and Cunningham turned it down, Burr opted against debating just the relatively unknown Lewis. So now the usual clymers are all screaming that Burr is afraid to debate, even though he originally wanted to debate three people at once. Thus, Burr's statements at the end of the post.
Also a reminder of other events this week:
Myrick and McHenry town halls
Rep. Sue Myrick's town halls, Tuesday in Matthews, Wednesday in Cornelius, and Thursday in Gastonia.
Rep. Patrick McHenry's town hall in Mooresville, Wednesday.
Triangle Constitutional Town Hall, Tuesday in Raleigh.

Thanks for the info - but why would I want to listen to the 3 marxists with Senator Burr????
I guess there is the mute button ....yet I will guarantee the callers will be screened and pre=directed in heavy favor of HC REform...it IS UNC TV isn’t it.

This is a chance for Burr to have a strong showing, if he’s capable of it.
He benefits from having racial clymer, kook, and all-around-jerk Mel Watt sitting next to him; I wonder if Watt will be able to restrain himself from lashing out at “these whites.”
And that’s four Marxists, not three. :)

But they won’t give Burr much of a chance to respond - but I will try to listen tomorrow night anyway.
And, yes, duh, you are right! 4 MARXISTS! How can our country survive when the state of North Carolina is so overrun by these anti-American taxing creeps?
