He appears in the "Acts of the Apostles" ... big time persecutor of the Church ... then he rode his horse to Damascus, and ... some interesting things happened.

He became a fairly prominent figure in the whole New Testament.

That will never happen, he lost his way a long time ago, I hope he is punished by defeat and humiliation.

You never heard of Saul, aka Saint Paul?
He’s in the Acts of the Apostles.

Totally unscriptural on the part of the pastor.

“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” - 1 Timothy 2:4

Most scholars believe Nero was emperor at the time the Apostle Paul wrote this.

We ought to be praying for Obama, that he be saved and repent from his evil ways, or failing that, that God would lead him away from doing evil to our nation.

Of course, God may choose to judge him, as he did to Herod in Acts 12, but it is not our place, as Christians, to pray for his death.

>>>Who in Biblical times was as evil as Obama and been converted?<<<

Saul of Tarsus (aka the Apostle Paul). See Acts chapters 8 and 9.

Whatever happened to praying for someone’s conversion?

Depends on what one wishes that person to "convert" to. Perhaps you mean "salvation".

Ummm.....what kind of “Church” is this?
A Jeremiah Wright “church” clone?

Achh, too bad it's not. According to the story, it's  "Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe."

Dumb, dumber and delicious red meat for the left.

Pastor Anderson should go on an extended vacation.

What’s racist about wanting an evil person to die of brain cancer?

What's Christian about it?

“Whatever happened to praying for someone’s conversion?”

That’s been my prayer all along. If Hussein were to have a “come-to-Jesus” moment, and be saved, that would have a much greater impact on the world than anything else. Can you IMAGINE?

The last part of my prayer is that America will return to its Christian roots.

I believe this is the pastor that got his heiny beat for noncompliance of requests from border guards. Freepers were cautious about him back then.

The word "racist" doesn't appear in the story, nor in the comments before yours.

What are you responding to? The voices in your head?

You probably have heard from him. He did a video about being abused by border guards for not complying with their requests. It was posted on FR.

This same preacher had a run in with border control and/or Arizona State police if memory serves, they roughed him up a bit.

Also, I think the guy carrying the AR-15 at the Obama appearance is a member of his church.

Its idiots like this that the MSM will try to lord over us and say that we all are in agreement with his thinking.

A quick web search of his names shows that even fundamentalist Christians don't like the guy.

This is wrong, particularly if, through his role as pastor, he leads others to sin.

It is this kind of nut job that brings such condemnation onto conservatives.

Where in all of his theological training was he told to pray for someone’s death?

I suggest that some people go down to a decent bookstore and look for the author, John Ringo and he has a book thats now a paperback called “The Last Centurion”

An alternate history of a very very real possibly prophetic forecast of future America, politics and the survival of the human race worldwide as portrayed by a soldier blogging after a series of events have occurred that are realistically threatening the world right now, though the POTUS in his novel is a woman there is an exact correlation to Obamas pattern of dominance and ultimately the failure and ungraceful removal from office.

America needs not a martyr in its history books, America needs not its history “changed” to promote a failed presidency, a con job that was played upon America and ultimately the the grave error of defending an ineligible President with anti-American pogroms cultivated by outside and domestic enemies of the state.

Our near future battle will be to seek out and preserve the truth of what Obama is and to never allow him to be future enshrined as any type of savior, leader or emancipator, Obama has absolutely done NOTHING positive for America, his agenda is and continues to be of fragmenting the society, to create dependence upon the Federal Government and complete control of any form of dissenting communication.

And I have had my bad thoughts but praying to god for something like this is not morally totally right, in a battlefield I would without thinking twice about wishing that my enemy would die but using a church is wrong, this smells like a clever game afoot.
