Dow’s finally been trending down. This debt-spending bubble is going to pop eventually. Of course, it may take a while for the markets to realize how much damage we’ve done to our economy. Then again, it might now.

The areas of the country approaching Great Depression level unemployment increases daily. We have two very active campaigns in the war on terror. The EPA issued regulations that will double our energy bills, shut down the economies across large swaths of Appalachia and lead to increasing electric brownouts. After nationalizing autos and finance, Congress is intent on doing the same to medicine.
Yet, what dominates the news? Hussein’s fumbled attempt to pay back his political godfathers in Chicago.

Dow’s finally been trending down. Besides what you said, that "better than expected" spin isn't working anymore.

Yep....and when that money runs out...people will be getting even more desperate. I live in a SoCal county that is one of the worst in the nation. When the housing bubble burst things went south fast. I have noticed it at the local grocery store. Prices have dropped like a rock and bargains on nearly every product on every isle.

Awwwwwwwwwwww.......come on!! All we need is Joe Biden to make a few more speeches about how great the stimulus is working and I’m sure that will turn things around right away...

I find it amazing that Yahoo is reporting the higher U6 unemployment numbers in addition to the U3.
