As a well-researched economist Paul Krugman used to play by the numbers, now he’s distorting the facts to rob the Huxtables. In a recently released excerpt from his contribution to the Occupy Handbook, Paul “blame Bush” Krugman discusses political polarization as a negative extension of power borne by the so-called one-percenters. Never mind the free-speech protections and profligation of online media that have allowed a larger number of Americans to participate politically, Krugman blames the one-percent. Krugman blames the one percent for everything from political polarization to the economic crisis. His solution is to find more “things to tax”—specifically higher...

USA --(Ammoland.com)- “We need to do this every day of the week and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way,” then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder advocated in a 1995 C-SPAN video that surfaced over the weekend on Breitbart.com and has since gone viral in the gun activist community. Comparing it to the way government helped create a stigma for smoking, Holder bragged “Now we have people who cower outside of buildings and kind of smoke in private and don’t want to admit it.” This was consistent with the administration talking points message being promulgated through...

The Exec.Order allows the nationalization of pretty much the entire USA even in peacetime if he desires. They can, under this order, restrict civilian travel by any mode, including (probably) foot travel. They can ration food. They can restrict water usage, even from private wells. They can ration any and all drugs, including OTC and vitamins. They can collectivize farms. They can take over all energy production, including home solar units. It also allows for drafting civilians. If they have need of your skills, they can compel you to work for no compensation. All this not in a time of...

After reading the Blaze’s report about Liza’s Place and Hope Home, two women’s shelters in Colorado that have lost federal funding because of mandatory Bible studies, Glenn Beck decided to take action. While speaking on-air with Marilyn Vyzourek, the founder and executive director of the faith-based shelters, he generously donated $55,000 to replace the lost, government monies. Prior to Beck’s inspiring announcement, Vyzourek explained the choice she had been given: “They said I needed to cut down on my Bible studies…or they would terminate my funding.” The Christian portion of the shelter program is essential, she said. ”Only Jesus can...

Self-proclaimed "conservatives" love to tout themselves as ardent supporters of the "free enterprise" system. In the name of "capitalism," they support any and every piece of legislation or governmental decision that caters to business — especially Big Business. Favorite policies of these folks include anything and everything that calls itself "free trade." Furthermore, these same "conservatives" will support just about anything and everything that is said to advance the so-called "global economy." Needless to say, in the name of "free trade" millions of American jobs and thousands of American manufacturing plants have been outsourced to foreign countries and interests. And...

Teamsters President James Hoffa makes no apology for taking on the Tea Party during a union labor celebration, claiming, “They declared war on us.” In Detroit, before President Obama arrived for a Labor Day speech, Hoffa rallied the crowd, “We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party.” “President Obama, this is your army,” Hoffa concluded to applause, his voice raising to a shout. “We are ready to march. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America...

A Greenwich Village resident was socked with an eye-popping 25 percent increase in health premiums -- and his insurance company is slapping part of the blame on President Obama's health-care overhaul that took effect yesterday. Doug Gowland's monthly bill will jump $140 -- from $565 to $705 -- under the hike, according to a letter he received from insurer EmblemHealth. And the annual cost for the self-insured 62-year-old man's mostly bare-bones plan will increase $1,680 -- from $6,780 to $8,460. In the notice, EmblemHealth told Gowland, who is healthy, "The proposed rate increase includes two components: a basic increase on...

Beware of Senate bill 3767, the so-called Food Safety Accountability Act. This dangerous legislation, if passed, would criminalize nutritional supplement manufacturers who tell the truth about their products or link to published scientific studies describing the biological benefits of their products. Based on language in the bill, health proponents who sell supplements could be criminalized and convicted to ten years in prison. The Life Extension Foundation recently published an important warning piece about this, complete with some call to action items for which we need your help. Here's what was written by William Faloon and published at LEF (http://www.lef.org/featured-article...). I...

On July 15, 2010, Democrat Charles Rangle introduced a piece of legislation into Congress that would basically reinstate the draft (compulsory military service). H.R. 5741 will give the President of the United States the power to require all American citizens between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform either military service or civilian service in the interests of "national defense and homeland security." It would also give him the power to require citizens to join the military during wartime to meet the manpower needs of the military. In February 2009, President Barack Obama asked Congress to send him a...

When the Conservative Examiner presented proof in a 7-part series that the Obama government is engaging in covert activities to rob citizens of their liberties, naysayers dismissed the information as 'inconclusive,' despite the reliability of the unnamed sources for that information. However, ABC News interviewed a whistleblower who exposes a massive government intrusion into the privacy of all citizens by reading their emails and Instant Messages, listening to their phone calls, monitoring their movements on the Internet, and tracking the 'Patriot movement' as a 'violent threat' to national security, although no one in the Patriot movement has engaged in such...

Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) today spelled out the true deficit inflating numbers of Obamacare, based upon and reporting Congressional Budget Office numbers, where they actually consider the full set of Obamacare factors. That figure is an additional budget deficit of $-454B. According to Ryan, this includes the Pelosi "Doctor Fix," etc. The graph which depicts these figures is located here:http://www.house.gov/budget_republicans/graphs/20100320fuzzymath.pdfThe staff of Rep. Ryan has been asked to refer to this in a fully printed article.

You’d think the current president lives in Boystown. Or, at least wants to. For all SORTS of reasons. It’s party all the time in this White House. While tens of millions are without jobs, don’t have enough money to keep dinner on the table every night, and are going without the basics, it’s a twirling, whirling, “Night at Versailles”, every night, in the People’s House these days. Last night, the theme was “Hollywood Glamour”, with Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks brought in to entertain Dr. Utopia and his “fashion icon” wife. “Entertain me! I need to be entertained! This lack...

According to current documents the Copenhagen Treaty, if signed by President Obama in December, will ultimately make the U.S., along with other "developed nations", financially responsible for the CO2 emissions of "developing nations". Read the document here. "Recognizing that current and potential climate change impacts require a shift in the global investment patterns and that criteria for financing allocation shall clearly respond to the priorities identified by the international community, with climate change stabilization being one of these priorities." What does this mean? Essentially, the treaty would mandate that the U.S. and other developed nations share there wealth with developing...

In 1944, Ludwig von Mises published one of his least-known masterworks: Omnipotent Government: The Rise of the Total State and Total War. Drawing on his prewar experience in Vienna, watching the rise of the national socialists in Germany (the Nazis), who would eventually take over his own homeland, he set out to draw parallels between the Russian and German experience with socialism. It was common in those days, as it is in ours, to identify the Communists as leftist and the Nazis as rightists, as if they stood on opposite ends of the ideological spectrum. But Mises knew differently. They...

The grand old man of letters Gore Vidal claims America is ‘rotting away’ — and don’t expect Barack Obama to save it. A conversation with Gore Vidal unfolds at his pace. He answers questions imperiously, occasionally playfully, with a piercing, lethal dryness. He is 83 and in a wheelchair (a result of hypothermia suffered in the war, his left knee is made of titanium). But he can walk (“Of course I can”) and after a recent performance of Mother Courage at London’s National Theatre he stood to deliver an anti-war speech to the audience.

The left is winning the argument on healthcare because they have taken our eyes off the ball. They did this with the racist statments. After that we spent most of our time hearing or reading about the racist or not racist position. Obama's daily average is trending towards positive numbers, at -4 today. We are no longer hearing about any thing that is in the healthcare bill only what we already know.

One of the goals of proposed regulatory changes of the financial industry is — as President Obama has argued — to create "a 21st century regulatory framework to ensure that a crisis like this can never happen again": Yet can a government — whether run by Republicans or Democrats — really anticipate future bubbles or meltdowns? And if it could, would the government have the political will (or political power) to prevent future meltdowns? The last time that we had a recession as deep as the current one was in 1980-82 when a Federal Reserve induced credit crunch caused short...

This is more of a question to FReepers. The New Black Panther Party used men dressed in para-military outfits and carrying clubs to frighten away white voters in Philadelphia, and they are not facing an investigation by the DOJ. Isn't what the NBPP did along the same lines as what the DOJ and the Obamafascists are investigating the CIA about the same in comparision? So, why may I ask is this not being pointed out by our republican leaders and reporters on our side?
