Make sure 0bama does not give the Chicoms a Raptor. It would turn a $65 billion air superiority investment into zilch overnight.
zer0 will probably give them some of ours, and send engineers over there to help them start a production line.
The most important difference between the Chinese and American versions is that the Chinese will build lots of theirs.
I think Clinton already gave them the plans in exchange for campaign money.
Hackers (what kind of sorry security on the part of engineers and builders here in the US?), or giveaway technology by the liberals who want the utter destruction of our own nation (paging Mr. 0bama).
“zer0 will probably give them some of ours, and send engineers over there to help them start a production line.”
Hey, he’s just spreading the “wealth” ... technological wealth. Actually, Obambi giving them the technology was the first thing I thought when I saw that article, too. Clinton and Carter have both given away our technology secrets as well, so there is a prescedent for Democrat presidents doing it.
My first thought exactly, and they’ll get Bill Clinton to hand deliver the plans in exchange for a couple of dozen morbidly obese peasant’s daughters.
Lots? The high level of engineering inherent in a 5th generation fighter would regulate the produceability stats.
"The JF-17 design is based on a cancelled Russian project, the MiG-33"
There were several articles a while back that reported on an infiltration of several gubmint computer systems by "a foreign entity", including the DoD, in 2007. As I recall it was reported that hundreds of terabytes were downloaded by the hackers. As a reference for the amount of info that was stolen, the Library of Congress, with all it's millions of volumes, is about 12 terabytes in total.
So, they (the foreign entity) probably has plans for every major weapons system in our inventory, along with employee records and the type and amount of soap they stock in the executive bathrooms at the Pentagon.....
Obama and his marxists running the govt are a far bigger threat than the Chinese.
Why is the KNOWN theft of our military technology not cause for an immediate, hugely destructive war?
I don’t think its hackers and I don’t think it was Clinton.
Thousands of engineers of Chinese origin work here, some
have security clearances and access to sensitive information. With family members in China they might have some ‘pressure’ to ‘contribute’ to the Motherland. Also
plain old fashioned greed probably figures in the equation.
We are making China richer every time we buy something,
so maybe every one of us is a ‘Clinton’.
The JF-17 looks like a boxy F-20 Tigershark.
There, fixed the errors.
RP/UCAVs are actually the next wave of ‘cool stuff’, even for ACM/ air superiority roles.
Google around for the Navy’s semi-autonomous new platform.
Look how unfair it is. An obviously inferior Great Satan shouldn’t have a superior military. The big 0 needs to even things out and put us in our place by sharing the technology and resources we stole from the world.
The J-10 is based on the Israeli Lavi, which, in turn, was based on the F-16.
“data Chinese hackers have been stealing”
0 dumped a load of data on the Chinese within 5-6 weeks as I recall.
reported as a “snafu”.
To be perfectly frank, I don’t think we will ever know. The thing with the Chinese is that they are not going to let anything leak out. I jsut wish we wouldn’t percieve them as we tend to, as these humble, ignorant savages who don’t know how to build a house, much less weaponry. Chances are they may very well have an entire fleet set up and pilots who know every possible maneuver. We will never know because they aren’t flaunting their progress and I would think that their mlitary training techniques are kept under strict guard.
