third party won’t work at moment. I have this scenario. Palin become president for 4 years, then form another party if she’s still popular

Yes, that is the only way Obama will get re-elected, the way Clinton did, just enough 3rd Party votes to squeak in.

Ping. Running for president is kind of morphing into a celebrity thing to do.

Dobbs may be a lot of things, but he’s not dumb. I think his ego and not his brain is in control of his critical thinking faculties. I like his immigration stance, and his being vocal about it. That did take courage—especially working for CNN.

But beyond that I have no idea why he thinks he’s qualified for the Oval Office. Of course, the Usurper Onada has already set a precedent for lack of qualifications. He has not proven he is a native born American citizen and he had little political let alone executive experience.

Dobbs, to my knowledge, has never run a business or held any kind of executive position. He is an idea man and talking head—nothing more. Hopefully he will revert to his forte and abandon the idea of running president.

All these elitist haavard educated, wing-tipped professional politicans and nose-in-the-air assorted know it alls who have been leading us for the better part of generations sure have done a good job!

I’m ready and willing to vote for the “common man” with some common sense. I believe it’s what the Founders envisioned rather than what we’ve had.

Not that I think Dobbs is the answer. I don’t know. But I do know that his “credentials” of some common sense hold alot more weight for me than the typical politico who hasn’t run a corner grocery store and instead lives off the tax dollars of hard working Americans for an entire lifetime!

On one hand anyone having the courage to run is a good thing, anyone is better than Obama. I am not so thrilled with either political party right now.

On another hand I am suspicious. As Dobbs was PAID to leave CNN. So some big money backers are pulling this to pull a 3rd party candidate upset.

What kind of huburis does it take not to realize this will only guarantee four more years of disaster? Dobbs? Enough, already... I voted for Perot in 1992, my only non-GOP vote ever, and it was a BIG MISTAKE.

I was going to make a comment here but everyone else is echoing my thoughts and views. Obviously any chance we have of defeating BHO rests with our being totally unified as we all know the Rats will rally behind BHO.

Just as I always thought Steve Forbes would have made an excellent US Senator from NJ, I think Lou Dobbs can and should explore this possibility as well. The recent election of Chris Christy and defeat of Jon Corzine signals to me that voters in NJ are fed up with liberal status quo politics and are ready for a new change of direction.

Why does everyone feel they need to start at the top? Lou Dobbs if he is interested in elected politics should try for the House or Senate first so we can all take measure of him first, evaluate his voting record and leadership skills BEFORE running for the highest office in the land.

Oh gooooody! Yet another tired, idea-less, old white man for the rinos.

This will surely energize their party!! And most assuredly will bring out the "minority group" voters....for the dems.

You go, Lou!! (but remember: try not to overtax yourself; you know how exhausted you feel after working for two or three hours!!!!!)

I'm even more suspicious that he WORKED for CNN for DECADES. (Water seeks it's own level , birds of a feather flock together, like minds attract......)

The GOP has treated Sarah like a goddess. It was the McCain's RINO staffers that treated her badly, don't get the two confused.

I am starting to question these people who come here posting this nonsense hoping to split the conservative vote between two parties.

if reports are true that he is “negotiating” with Hispanic groups, then his credibility as Mr. Independent will be gone and his supporters will desert him in droves anyhow.

I agree.

Dobbs does not excite me , but, I am willing to listen.

Give me a politician with basic common sense and principles they are willing to stick by and they will have my vote. I could not be more disgusted with our current politicians. The morally bankrupt left and the cowardly right are more interested in saving their own political skin than doing what is right as dictated by our constitution. We need new and different blood in our government or we will continue down this slippery slope.

If you’re both right in your suspicions re: Lou Dobbs, then we have no need to worry, as surely OPRAH will offer him a Big News Gig on her new cable channel.
