CONTROL CONTROL, they want control over everything don’t they.

I remember when my Dad Slaughtered a lame pig we had that he couldn’t sell, it made delicious pork chops!

Farmers around here kill their own meat regularly, My on father was a great butcher and we always butchered our own meat. I get half a ateer now each year, but I pay a processor because he cut’s ,wraps . and quick freezes it for me.

The Amish guy up the street butchers a lot of hunters deer meat and he has goat meat he raises and butchers. He isnt licensed by anyone . Sounds like Canada is a little nutso about this.

My father told me a couple of weeks ago that the church could no longer sell farm-cured hams as a fund-raiser... the local board of health had shut them down. They haven't had home-brewed root beer at the summer church festivals since I was a kid, and you can't buy unpasteurized apple cider anywhere any more... not even at the mill.

Contrary to popular belief, there is such a thing as too much safety.

These laws are designed to reduce self-sufficiency with the eventual long term goal of making all the population wards of the state.

That is scary..! 50 years ago the very thought of such a gov't entity would have been taken in jest --to me it still seems that way, on this day.

This is chilling.

The goal is to minimize food sources. If you need people to panic and vote for you, make them scared and hungry. When you control the food supply, you control the people.

He does live in Canuckistan, so I wonder what he expects.

Too bad he isn’t raising medical marijuana...I’ll bet he would not have got that kind of response from The Laws...

Gosh - I raised chickens as a kid for about 5 or 6 years.
I couldn’t count how many got harvested for the BBQ pit.

I guess if I did that now and lived in Ottowa I’d be in deep trouble.

In these dark days secrecy is the only shield we will have against predatory governance.

Hide who you are and what you do from anyone you can’t trust implicitly. Work under cover of darkness to conceal anything what might draw the attention of neighbors who might just have your “Best Interests” in mind when they place that phone call to the Gestapo.

People must understand they are under the heel of an occupying force and behave appropriately.

It’s not just Canada.

We used to sell goat’s milk to many families who had children allergic to Cows milk (or the hormones in them). Many of our friend had legal dairies for unpasturized milk.

Not anymore & remember they raided that family who had a food co-op in thier house. Also the RFID chips are back in play to identify animals even if raised for you own consumption.

It will be here soon enough.

I live in Nova Scotia. We have a version of the food police here, too.

We buy (unofficially organic) chicken and turkey from a local farmer and beef (also unofficially organic) from another local farmer. The nice couple that sells the poultry tells us they may not be able to do so much longer as some onerous laws related to “bird flu” may make it impossible for them to afford to raise the birds any longer.

Ever taste an egg that is truly organic or “free-range”? No comparison to the store bought version. I traded some preserves I made for some eggs from yet another farmer in our area. She mainly has chickens to provide for her family so it was a rare treat to get some.

One day, remembering those great eggs, I bought what was “officially” labeled as free-range / organic eggs in the grocery store for a ridiculous price. They tasted just like any other regular store bought egg. Very disappointing. I later found out that the government allows the egg company to sell them as “organic” or “free-range” if the chicken is exposed to 2 hours per day of outside light through a skylight while in the cage. What a crock!

Hard to know where this type of government regulation is coming from - profit driven for large food companies or the desire to control people. It is probably both and it is most unwelcome.

I guess, when we take back our country and toss out the “Progressives,” we’ll have to take over Canada and make you our fifty first state, eh? Get you back to being free. And NO, we won’t allow French as a second language, any more than Spanish. The Quebecois can learn English, just like everyone else LEGALLY here.
