Former Gov. Mitt Romney could square off with Sarah Palin for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, but hes already gearing up to take her on in the world of book sales.
Palins bestseller has been racking up sales for the former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate, and now Romneys team is planning an ambitious national tour for the March release of his new book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness.
Romney aides in Utah are hoping for up to 10,000 fans at one of the first stops on the planned tour, a March 13 signing at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Tickets for the event go on sale later this week at www.MittRomneyUtah.com

I admit, Mitt will probably get a good size crowd in Salt Lake City, but nowhere near 10,000. Whenever he's campaigned for anyone he always draws a "crowd" of dozens. He might have to offer free pizza along with a book for the $95 package or even the $25 package deal.

Mitt may do well in SLC but other than that, I’d expect about a 1:1000 sales ratio relative to Sarah, tops. I’d probably buy Mitt’s book before, say, Nancy Pelosi’s, but I wouldn’t give a dime for either one.

The only way the Mittster is going to get Palin size crowds is if he brings the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with him.

I’m sure that the MSM is already gearing up to tell us exactly how brilliant the book by the governor who signed in gay marriage in Massachusetts is. Maybe include a little bit of a heavy sigh that Mitt didn’t lead the Republicans in to sign onto ObamaCare, since it’s so much like RomneyCare.

Be interesting to watch how quickly Mitts book tour fizzles out, and he is reduced to providing pizzas in exchange for people buying his books :).

...and get a fashion make-over. Sexy red Pain-pumps would be a start.

Who in the heck would pay for such a Romster book? I wouldn't want a copy if you gave it to me. Would never read it. Why would I?
Mitt would be MUCH better off with "Romney Beer". It would actually sell. Joe Smith had a Bar in his home and a liquor license. Why not Romney?

Sorry didn’t see your pizza analogy before I wrote mine. Great minds think alike, or maybe Mitts is so transparent we all know his tricks.
I agree, there is no way he could get many supporters on a nationwide tour, he can’t magically transorm the usual crowds from dozens to hundreds. But he has a big chequebook ....

he cant magically transform the usual crowds from dozens to hundreds. Mr. Farrakhan, there is a Mitt Romney on line two for you...

Will it be one of those flip-over books that is a different story based on which side you read it from?

Huck has a book out, I think he carried his crowd around in with him in his bus to the different cities.

This showed up in a Romney article yesterday...
The former Massachusetts governor - who made his name and fortune at private equity firm Bain Capital
IMO, the DBM has tipped their hand regarding the story line should Mitt get the Republican nomination.
