There are about 19 states that allow for recall elections. Most of them are states that have DEMOCRAT senators. Point is, I hear lots of people asking, "What can we do?" Well..find out if your state allows for the recall of elected officials and start the petition of senators recalling them for special elections. Kick them out. Plain and simple. I do not have the list and someone called into the Bill Bennet show yesterday with the site that had the list. I did not have a piece of paper to write it down so I missed the name of the web site. Anyone?

The 18 states allowing for recall are as follows: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin.A website or a phone campaign are good ways to get your petition going. Going door-to-door is also an option although it is more time consuming than the other two. This is important since you only have a set number of days to obtain the correct number of signatures-anywhere from 30 to 180 days. You will be fighting an uphill battle to recall a U.S. Senator. No member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States

Nothing in the Constitution allows a state to recall a Congressman or Senator. Any recall clauses in state constitutions are for local offices only.

In Michigan, the recall law does not apply to federal offices.

NS,
even on Christmas morning we must be vigilant against the wayward efforts of amateur poliitical theorists.

Nor does any other state.

The United States Constitution expressly establishes the exclusive qualifications for congressional office, sets the specific length of terms for Members of the House and for Senators, and places the authority within each House of Congress to judge the elections and qualifications of, and to discipline and remove, its own Members. These provisions of the United States Constitution, with respect to federal officials, have supremacy over State laws and provisions, and State laws in conflict with such constitutional provisions have been found by the courts in the past to be invalid. Although the language of some State recall laws might be broad enough to include Members of Congress, or might even explicitly include such federal officers, such statutes would not appear to be effective in overriding the provisions of the United States Constitution with regard to terms of office, elections and removal of Members.

Sure it follows the Constitution. You see a postal truck parked in a no-parking zone please to observe that it will never get a ticket, and if it does, the ticket will never be paid, nor can a collection effort be made.
Same with weights and measures folks. There used to be some problems in Ohio with the state weights and measures organization ~ they actually tried to force entry into post offices to verify the accuracy of the scales.
As I recall notices were sent to them that "one more time and you will be arrested and held pending trial in a federal court" ~ I suppose if they'd gotten real uppity we could have ordered that they be shot!

We The People had war declared on us by enemies of Freedom in “our” government. In my opinion, these arrogant, in-your-face dictators just voted and approved an American Holocaust. How many Americans will die because Big Brother denied or rationed their medical care or shipped them off to Government Hospice Centers (the Democrat camps)? This American Holocaust was designed by Rahm Kapo and his brother, Mengele II with the approval of their bosses, the Muslim Dictator and Heir Reid and Heir Pelsoi and their gaggle of arrogant, in-your-face Benedict Arnolds.
Organize and immediately start Recall petitions for each of these vermin (even if you don’t have means of recall), picket their offices, gather outside their local offices with signs denouncing their treason, conduct marches in their districts to awaken the clueless, investigate and expose any and all of their corruption, organize daily letters to the Editor in your newspapers (local and state), start a campaign against them immediately and find a conservative candidate (with guts and a spine) to run against each of these traitors.. Recruit retired veterans and retired patriots to mount this campaign immediately. Write and film YouTube videos to expose them and flood the Internet.

Whether or not they can be recalled, the process can send a very loud message especially if the recall petition has a significant number of signers. To win a war requires overwhelming force, every weapon should be used. Often psychological weapons can substantially weaken the enemy, so go for it, never start thinking you cannot win.

Oh, I understand, but this is really a wasted effort (with respect to Senators), because it’s quite clearly unconstitutional. Sure, the Constitution is flagrantly violated at will by those in power to cause harm to the people, but it will surely be used to protect them. If you do wish to accomplish something that will yield results, start a movement for a Constitutional Amendment to make a recall possible. Personally, I’m leaning more towards for shortening Senate terms. 6 years has only served the purpose of reducing their accountability. Maybe they should run every two years in order to change the equation. That might very well result in a higher turnover.

To: ExTexasRedhead
Ya can’t recall a house member. You have to vote them out.

And for term limits to be truly effective, you have to get rid of Civil Service, which is protection for liberal gov’t employee parasites.
