This photo is just incredible.

Elvis took rockabilly mainstream.

My favorites, in no order:
Suspicious Minds
(Marie's The Name) His Latest Flame
That's All Right
Devil In Disguise

While his better known “American Trilogy” and Suspicious Minds” are among my favorites, there are quite a few less known and obscure Elvis songs that I love and are staples on my Ipod:

1. I’m Leavin’
2. Only the Strong Survive
3. Reach Out to Jesus
4. Separate Ways
5. Old Shep (warning: TEARJERKER!)

Yeah, that’s amazing. But there’s no way he would have allowed her to showboat all over his performance if he’d been alive.

Get chills as you hear this duet with Elvis and Lisa Marie, his daughter.

a whole bunch here:

Today would be Elvis Presley's 75th birthday. Happy Birthday Elvis, we miss you still!

Elvis Presley would have been 75 years old today. He was born January 8th 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. This is adapted from Mark Steyn From Head To Toe: All Shook Up ... Mark Steyn

Suspicious Minds... one of the smoothest guitar intro’s ever picked..

I and a friend snuck into a sold out concert in 72 or 73.. saw him perform live.. awesome...

Wow. That must have been wild to see him in person. The thing that amazes me most about the Bridge video (above) is the audience response at the end— just sitting there clapping politely. They just saw the greatest performer they would ever see do an astonishingly powerful version of a great song, and they’re just sitting there. I guess they didn’t realize what had just happened.

If / when that comes out on Blu-ray, I'm all over it!
