"With all due respect, its not the Kennedy seat and its not the Democrats seat, its the peoples seat."

The guy is quick on his feet! Excellent!
Coakley thought she would waltz into this seat....
That was just a GREAT quote. Gergan is scum and thought he could play the Kennedy card that Mass wants a clone.
Brown is only 1 of 25 R’s in the legislature so running in Mass has it’s challenges and then some. Gergan also tried to plow him with the Roe v Wade issue which is always the most controversial in just about any state.
I literally leapt from my chair and did the “Yesssss!” bit when he said that.
There is a lot of the sentiment Scott expressed in Massachusetts. It began when Ted Kennedy was dying and supposedly wrote a letter to Deval Patrick asking him to change the law requiring a special election to keep the seat in the hands of the Democrats...which the legislature did.
Enough of the “Kennedy royalty” crap.
I think this will turn into a classic that will be remembered for years. Good post.
Nice goin’, Gergen. Couldn’ta done it without you.
I wonder how much confidential information Gergen leaked to the press when he was Ronald Reagan’s director of communications.
Contribute.
Gergen ask an inside the beltway question and got an outside the beltway answer. Let’s chisel this one in granite and make it a rallying cry for other seats.
I just sent another $100.
Gergen was obviously biased and it backfired on him.
Why does the left get debate moderators with a left bias?
Gwen Iffel did the Palin-Biden debate and she’s a big lefty.
The RNC needs to wake up.
Throw all the Bums Out, starting with Kennedy!!
Pray for America and Scott Brown
Brown is an exceptionally well-spoken, quick-witted candidate. Nicely done.
marvelous- this guy could be the star we’re looking for....forget about the “it’s the people’s seat” line- everything else he said was fantastic...
if the people of Assachusettes don’t vote for this guy they are really fools...

I think that line will be seared in our minds, especially because it has been drilled into our brains that it was indeed Ted Kennedy's seat. I never thought differently either and I'm sure many of us took it as fact that it was Ted's seat, so when Scott replied that it's not Teddy's or the Dem's seat but it's the people's seat, it had a profound effect. I love it.
It’s really a great line, although I wish he paused a bit after saying that...
I was thinking about why these businesses were supporting this monster bill. One of the reasons may be big business has been been for a long time installing CEOs and other officers that usually don’t know the product of their business at all and so many of them have mergered. Do you think this may have been engineered until these commies were ready to take over? I know when the company my husband worked for sold by a private owner, a group with Henry Kissenger paid big bucks for it. My husband said these people weren’t going to put money up unless there was a lot more money to be made. I agree.
Any thoughts?
Gergan’s bias was so obvious it must have made the Independents sick...
Mr. Kennedy has left the building.
Sorry. Let’s keep our feet on the ground. Brown did well, and I certainly hope he wins...but he is not a star.
I wish he were, and I hope he becomes one. But right now, his greatest advantage is a really stupid opponent.
