Leah Ward's American flag stood at the end of her driveway in Colebook, a tribute to her husband, a Marine serving in Iraq.
This week, someone burned it, the second act of vandalism involving the flag since June. Ward said it's a painful reminder that not everyone supports the troops. She's offering a $650 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible.
Ward, of 113A Beech Hill Road, woke up Monday morning to find the flag at the end of her driveway destroyed by fire. All that remained was a smoldering wooden flagpole and a secondary flag, a charred plastic Marines banner.

Nooo not at all.....we have to show those who serve we are there with em in good and bad if we can. During my 21 years active duty in EOD it was family, friends and people I didn’t even know that showed me acts of kindness that got me and mine through really bad times.
I owe YOU....and them Sir........
If that small gift of a flag makes Leah feel better til her Marine is back home then I payed a little of that respect back that was lent to me and my family when we needed it.

I’ll call her today. Hubby is coming home soon from Iraq, within days, so lets either do this as a surprise for him or with his permission, whatever her choice is.
I hope the order doesn’t take too long to ship!
One to six days.
