So I take it this article is designed to blame a Coakley defeat on the candidate instead of the voter's disdain for Obama's ideology and accompanying health care (only 36 percent approval in Mass.)

As if the state's voters are too stupid to understand the ramifications of a Dem loss.

"the dirty secret is a loathing of Obama by a LOT of voters"

I believe you are right. But the Dems are in deep denial about the rejection of Obama AND his socialist policies. Amazingly, they have somehow managed to convince themselves that this is only "an isolated extremist" point of view.

People not only dislike his policies, they don't like him either.

When discussing poll numbers about how people feel about this administration, the media may concede that "people don't like his policies" but they always quickly add "but people like him personally". Why do they feel the need to do that?

To me, he comes across as incredibly arrogant and condescending, and barely conceals his loathing and disdain for America and her people. One cannot really feel that way and successfully hide it for long.

The facade is crumbling.

"Win or lose, she will forever be Martha the Blind..."

This is more appropriate than the author probably intended. My wife asked me what kind of name Coakley was, so I looked it up at last-names.net. Here's what they say:

coakley Name Meaning and History

Irish (Cork): Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Caochlaoich, patronymic from Caochlaoch, a personal name composed of the elements caoch ‘blind’ + laoch ‘warrior’, ‘hero’.

Dictionary of American Family Names, Oxford University Press, ISBN 0-19-508137-4

The Blind. Indeed.

Its not just Martha’s incomeptance only. Massachusetts does not want the Obama Health Care Bill passed.

This artucle is a spin to throw Coakley under the bus and ignore the elephant in the room.

Well stupid Michael Gtaham, write the other half of the article and talk about the inopmpetant stupidity of Obama. Then you do us the considerable favor of finally giving us the full picture. Or perhaps you only have the balls of a liberal to kick a liberal female colleague when she is down, without talking on the still-standing-for-now head rauncho himself, Barak Insane Obama. He is the true creator of this “Republican Victory.” Few admit it. They are too afraid of Obama and the left.

Martha Coakley won't make it into the Senate. Her incompetent and obtuse campaign revealed she is the Massachusetts Hindenburg. She neither understood politics or how to make a case to the voters. She crashed and burned spectacularly. They'll be teaching about her in schools as an object lesson in how not to run a campaign.

Or, stated another way: she could always serve as a pis* poor example.

She has made many blunders which shows Massachusetts she does not even know her state.

Curt Shilling our ace pitcher (Red Sox) for the World Series (bloody sock ring a bell?), she called him a Yankees fan. A Yankees fan?????? She has rocks in her head!

The Taliban are gone from Afghanistan??? I barely watch the news and I know this is not even close to being true. What does this woman do all day.

This kills her for most fans of any sport in Mass., it also rids all Veterans and enlisted from voting for her, and all she and Obama talked about was how Scott Brown drove a pickup truck and be wary of getting behind him and his truck it will take you in the wrong direction. Well, lost truck drivers too!

What a laugh!

Right after losing the primary to Coakley, Rep. Michael Capuano was asked what he learned on the campaign trail. “You’re screwed,” he told his Democratic colleagues.

Everyone wondered what he meant. Now we know.

Voters' loathing has never been more apparent. And understandably so.

They have endured the insolence of Ohaha, Bwaney Fwank, Pelosi, and Harry Reid as they sneered at tea partiers......and saw the condescending attitudes to anyone who dared oppose the healthcare atrocity.

Now these officeholders must bear the brunt of voters' discontent.

I'm starting to become envious of the people in Massachusetts. In IL we have far more STOO-PID democRAT politicians than they do. And the dumb sobs keep on winning!

(Coakley should move to Chicago after she loses, she'll fit right in.)

Like with every Snake Oil Salesman the slick talk and lies only work for so long. Then you have to skedaddle out of town before the little people get the Tar & Feathers.

And like with every Snake Oil Salesman the Kenyan's problem is that his Snake Oil 'medicine' is making everyone sick but there's no town for him to skedaddle from. He's stuck in DC and can't hide from the little people his *medicine* has made sick.

Lucky for him Tar & Feathers are hard to get nowadays. There's always 'Rope and a Rail' but the Secret Service may not approve of that fine Old West tradition.(1) So his best hope is being Impeached and Convicted of Treason and Abuse of Power in 2011. Then he can fly out of town in the dead of night and back to his 'home' in Hawaii.

(1) Riding a Snake Oil Salesman out of town on a rail. (nothing ELSE is inferred from 'rope')
