Blake Curd is On the Radar of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Chris Nelson is not.

Nelson reported $56,000 raised during the first few months of his campaign, compared to $181,000 reported by Curd. Nelson said then that he was relying on hundreds of smaller campaign donors and long-standing GOP connections to power his primary run. After hearing of the committee release, Nelson said his optimism and focus in the primary had not changed.

That being said, I like Chris Nelson in the primary. He's been elected statewide twice, while Blake Curd has a very short track record and was giving Tom Daschle and Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin thousands of dollars the last few elections.

There is a man running for lt. governor of LA who calls himself a “Republican”, and he endorsed Mary Landrieu in 2008. His name is “Davis”, but he is not related to the late Jimmie Davis.
I've met him a couple of times, though, and he seems like a good guy.
When will the RNC stop interfering with the will of the people?
The NRCC recognized that one candidate met a series of fairly objective criteria, meant to reward strong campaigns and provide good PR. Another candidate did not. Neither was endorsed.
