but to side with Obama on this one is petty

When did I say that I was siding with Obama?

McCain has betrayed conservatives to progressives like Obama countless times. Why should I side with him, eh? Why should I lift a finger to defend the "treasonous bastard" (JR's words, btw)? Because he's not Obama?

shows an unhinged kind of hatred that is way over the top.

Ah yes, when all else fails, just accuse your opponent of being "unhinged" (your words).

Tool.

Obama was putting McCain down with that comment, “we're not campaigning anymore, the election is over."  He followed up with "we can spend the remainder of the time with our respective talking points going back and forth, but we were supposed to be talking about insurance.” Obama comes across like an arrogant jerk that is really full of it.

However, McCain shows he is a wimp by laughing it off and replying “I'm reminded of that every day,” making him sound like an idiot. That was his moment to show some backbone and reply directly to Obama, and he failed.

I found that very annoying about McCain. He takes the liberals' negative comments as funny and reserves his anger for fellow Republicans and conservatives.

On the other hand, whether we like it or not, Sarah was right to call out Obama, and defending McCain was the right thing to do.

You lie...you called McCain a-hole, your thread is in defense of Obama. Palin’s comments were against Obama. You are defending Obama and using McCain as a scapegoat in order to justify Obama’s shameful amateurish, PRACTICED one-liners.

It’s not about McCain...it’s about your defense of Obama. The point of your thread is to defend Obama. That’s why you started it, you had a problem with Palin pointing out Obamer’s role played debate one-liners which fell flat and were un-Presidential. You say Obam is justified in trashing McCain. You created this thread to DEFEND Obama. And in order to defend Obama, you use McCain.

rabscuttle says, “As far as I am concerned, Obama’s taunting of McCain is justice being served upon an a-hole who has a fairly consistent record of stabbing conservatives and Americans in the back.

You think that Obama has the moral rightness to serve justice?

Unhinged is a perfect description and a true one.

It's pretty obvious you have no perspective at all, dissing McCain when you should be dissing Obama. McCain has plenty to be criticized for, this is not one of those times.

Your need to hate McCain first, rather than take on the arrogance of Obama is telling, and well.......

Unhinged.

McCain didn’t expect Axelrod and Obama’s campaign to play the lame ‘We Won’ card this late in the game. And that’s why he played it off...McCain wasn’t expecting Obama to be so arrogant and in his face. It’s not about McCain’s reaction, it’s about Obama’s lack of respect, immaturity and arrogance.

McCain should have said, “yeah you won but you suck!” Obama displayed a forged document on his website during the campaign. It doesn’t matter where he was born, the fact that he forged a document during the election is against the rules and disqualifies him.

You lie...you called McCain a-hole, your thread is in defense of Obama.

I also called Obama an "arrogant a-hole" (post 53). Perhaps you failed to read that part, newbie.

I personally find it rather amusing that McCain is getting skewered by his comrades in the Rat Party now that he's no longer useful to them.

As for McCain, I refuse to defend or apologize for a man who's done enormous damage to the conservatarian agenda in the last ten years. And you know why? Because, should he get reelected, no thanks to Palin's willful assistance, he will return to attacking conservatives and promoting the radical progressive agenda of Obama and the Democrats...right after he throws Palin away like a used rubber.

It's pretty obvious you have no perspective at all, dissing McCain when you should be dissing Obama.

I'm going to diss both of them because they are BOTH radical progressives (and yes, I am borrowing Michelle Malkin's words about McCain), just as I did at post 53 on this very thread.

Now go back to post 53 and find the line where I called Obama an "arrogant a-hole."

What's your point? McCain is getting his just deserts. After all, McCain said we had "nothing to fear" from an Obama administration!

You are defending Obama

To you, failing to support McCain and Palin means that I am on Obama's side.

Maybe you should think for a second and realize that it is possible for me to not be on either of their sides.while attacking Palin and McCain.

Of course I'm going to attack a RINO and his willing apologist.

This is a conservative forum, after all.

What did you expect, newbie?

“As far as I am concerned, Obama’s taunting of McCain is justice being served upon an a-hole who has a fairly consistent record of stabbing conservatives and Americans in the back.”

You just gave Obama a pass - saying he was justified in attacking McCain and you started the thread to defend Obama. Obviously Palin criticized Obama. You are the opposite. You are criticizing Palin. Just own it. You said Obama is justified in attacking McCain. Just own your defense of Obama.

Your suggestion they are both "radical progressives" is specious and unhinged.

I think McCain has done a lot of horrid things, I don't like him or support him, but he's not 100% radical progressive or even near it. Obama scores 0 in the ACU scores, McCain 60%. He's been pro-life, pro-military, generally good on spending, none of which you can say about Obama.

McCain has spent the better part of the last decade attacking conservatives and the Republican Party while siding with the Democrats.

Why should I feel sympathy for him when the Democrats throw him aside like a used rubber?

WHY?!

McCain betrayed conservatives repeatedly; now he can taste his own medicine. And yes, I think that is justice.

You are criticizing Palin.

Well, she is a RINO apologist.

You said Obama is justified in attacking McCain.

No, actually, you did...when you put words in my mouth, newbie.

You just don’t have the heart to attack Obama the way you attack McCain and Palin. You have a soft spot for Obama...give him a pass on the regular. But you PASSIONATELY attack McCain and Palin with willing eagerness.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2457828/posts

"The Republican party 'lost its way' on core limited government principles because of McCain’s radical progressive agenda."

(That's a direct quote from Michelle Malkin's most recent column, btw. So, if, as you claim, I am expressing an opinion that is "specious and unhinged," then so is Michelle Malkin.)

I think McCain has done a lot of horrid things, I don't like him or support him, but he's not 100% radical progressive or even near it.

Amnesty
Cap-and-tax
Voting for the bailout
Telling Americans that they had "nothing to fear" from Obama
Campaign finance "reform" (aka muzzing conservative free speech)
Shutting down investigations into U.S. POWs and MIAs in Vietnam
Restricting Americans' access to vitamins and supplements

Shall I go on?

If that isn't a "radical progressive" agenda, I don't know what is.

Of course, you won't attack McCain as such because he has an R after his name, not a D.

How exactly is calling Obama an "arrogant a-hole" equivalent to "giv[ing] him a pass"?

But you PASSIONATELY attack McCain and Palin with willing eagerness.

I attack McCain because he's a RINO, a "radical progressive."

I attack Palin because she's apologizing for McCain.

Got it?

Again, such passion in trashing, hating McCain and Palin.

Vs

“As far as I am concerned, Obama’s taunting of McCain is justice being served upon an a-hole who has a fairly consistent record of stabbing conservatives and Americans in the back.”

McCain/Palin Trashing vs Obama Free Pass otherwise known as ‘Obama, Who Dat?’ or Obama indifference.
