When Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, was invited back in October to be the guest speaker at a February 25 prayer luncheon at Andrews Air Force Base, he had no idea he would be expected to suspend his opinions on such issues as homosexuals serving in Americas military.
After all, as a noted pro-family spokesman he can certainly be expected to promote values that are conducive to strong families and a stable society.
His reputation in that capacity is, no doubt, what garnered him an invitation to speak at the prayer luncheon (and thousands of similar events over the course of his career) in the first place.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil...
A nit: he wasn’t “censured”, he as “censored”. Censure is an act of punishment after-the-fact for something done, in this case he was censored, meaning he was denied the right to speak because of what he might say.
Although it would be more accurate to say “disinvited”, as he wasn’t invited with an admonition to avoid certain topics, so he wasn’t really “censored” either.
Pity the military putting up with junk like this.
Naturally. Of course.
Remember Hasan? The guy who killed fellow soldiers? The guy who ranted and raved full of hate and anger? Remember how NO ONE dared to censure him?
He went on to kill.
This guy SAYS something, and the government is persecuting him.

The linked article is a Must Read. Perkins was not planning on addressing the issued of homosexuality in the military, for one. He was blacklisted because he spoke out against the repeal of DADT after 0bama's SOTU speech. Additionally, in Perkin's "disinvite" it was stated that his mere presence would make some attendees "uncomfortable". This is a perfect illustration of how the goal of the homo-nazi agenda is to destroy our freedom of speech, religion, association - and more. Now, just because 0bama may - will try - to repeal DADT, someone with a different viewpoint cannot even speak, on other topics, to members of the military.
I hope everyone who checks this thread clicks the link and reads the whole article.
Here’s more info about his “dis-invitation”:
The letter informed Perkins that his invitation to speak at the prayer luncheon was being rescinded due to statements posted on the Family Research Council Web site which are incompatible in our role as military members who serve our elected officials and our commander-in-chief. The letter said that as military personnel we are sworn to support our commander-in-chief, and are forbidden to make or support statements which run counter to our roles in the armed forces.
Some very good points are made and some very good questions are asked in the article. Gives one pause for thought about what's really happening here.
It’s obvious that the quaint notion of “freedom of speech” will be - is becoming - an antiquated thing of the past.
If the pushers of the homosexual agenda prevail.
See that? Once it’s “accepted”, you will no longer be allowed to criticize it.
But that's not Perkins' role, morons.
But that's not Perkins' role, morons.
If memeory serves me right it's not the military's role either. They are sworn to defend and protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign or domestic. (I pray that someday soon some military or treasury agent honors their oath.)
Excellent point!! I did notice that but forgot. Loyalty to the idol, not to the Constitution!! 0devil is a wannabe cult dictator.
