Van Jones Goes Back To School

Academia: The former green jobs czar in the Obama administration and self-avowed communist has landed a job at an Ivy League school, where he'll be teaching your children why America is racist, capitalism is bad, and redistribution of wealth is good.

We have often commented on how academia leans far to the left and how nutty professors like the infamous Ward Churchill can find acceptance for their wacky philosophies. So it was not a total surprise last week when Princeton University announced that Van Jones will be teaching environmental policy at the prestigious school.

Jones has been appointed a visiting fellow in the Center for African American Studies and the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy at the university's Wilson School.

Noliwe Rooks, associate director of the Center for African American Studies, told the Daily Princetonian that Jones will also conduct research and host discussions on subjects such as "the next phase of green jobs, environmental policy (and) environmental justice."

What Jones means by environmental justice is the redistribution of wealth from successful capitalists and entrepreneurs to minorities and American Indians who he says have been shut out of the system and exploited by it.

Just two weeks before he started his White House job, Jones delivered the keynote address at Power Shift '09, billed as the largest youth summit on climate change in history. A reported 12,000 young people were at the D.C. Convention Center for the event.

“Van Jones will be teaching environmental policy at the prestigious school.”

A socialist’s wet dream realized...nothing to know and room to blow.

Why did I already know it was to this department he was appointed?

This is further proof that the biggest waste of time and money today is 4 years of college.

It’s amazing how Democrats are so brilliant, so
all-knowing, so intelligent and intellectual.

They know everything about the environment, relations between humans, the economic system, the planets, the smallest organisms, and have the answers to every question ever posed by any human who ever lived on the face of the earth.

It’s about time that all power is put into the hands of these brilliant geniuses so that humankind can stop making mistakes and start progressing to perfection, perfect justice and perfect peace.

/S/

IMHO

“With Van Jones association, green jobs sounds more like red jobs.”

Exactly - His notion of a green job is a government grant to their friends and voters whether or not they know anything about solar, wind or any other type of energy. In other words political payoffs.

In fact, Van Jones said exactly that in one of his speeches. He pledged to give solar energy concessions to minorities in their neighborhoods. This is his idea of job creation.

The thing wrong with this is that it reeks of cronyism and corruption, and those receiving these boondoggles almost never work as hard as someone who has to earn his own way in the world.

And to be unconnected would be virtually should out of the economic system, no matter how hard working or entrepreneurial one might be.

I hope we never see Van Jone's system in the US.

Princeton has the highest % of alumni financial support of all colleges in the US. Why don’t they stop if their donations are funding this kind of garbage? Give the weak-kneed administrators a message.
