Your reading comprehension is slipping. I clearly compared the liberal's treatment of Reagan 30 years ago ("too old, not too bright, dangerous") to their treatment of Palin, today. A fair reading of my post will show that. Too bad you missed it in your zeal to argue with anyone that supports the only real conservative on the national political scene. The one you seem to have a lot of trouble accepting, being the 'conservative' you pretend to be.
I don't remember Reagan quitting at anything. If you do, please share it with us.
You sneer that Sarah Palin cannot be compared to Ronald Reagan yet you leap to compare her leaving the Alaskan governorship early due to the harassment of leftist operatives bombarding her with baseless ethics complaints with the fact that Ronald Reagan 'never quit anything'. This is transparently troll talk. The left works to drive Palin from office by making it impossible for her to perform her duties and then they quack about her being 'a quitter'
I'm tired of people impugning someone's political beliefs because they won't drink the Palin kool-Aid.
You pretend to be offended while you casually call those who disagree with you 'Kool-Aid drinkers' which is shorthand for those who, as the followers of insane cult leader Jim Jones did back in the late '70's, drink poison-laced Kool-Aid' to commit mass suicide. If you're so 'tired' of having your political beliefs impugned, why do you so glibly do the same to those who support Sarah Palin? Check your hypocrisy, please.

Speaking of Madame Strawman, oldhand has been asked multiple times to provide a source for his assertion that the Leno staff wrote Sarah Palin's jokes. He can't, so he diverted to the Strawman of her having a ghost writer on her book, then accused everyone else of erecting Strawmen. Elementary and juvenile, imo.
My source is my common sense, something you've seemed to have checked at the door. Why would you believe, even for a moment, that Sarah Palin wrote any of those jokes? Do you need a "source" to tell you water is wet and fire is hot? Maybe you do.
If she couldn't write her own book, if she couldn't write her own convention speech, then why do you assume she wrote those jokes?
Perhaps Palin should be spending more time speaking about policy and less time imitating the celebrity de jour, the rest of the country might then start to take her as seriously as you apparently do. Until then, color me unimpressed.
