Please Freep this poll. The unholy cabal of democrat city administration and local construction union thugs have been combining for the last 5 years to run up the cost to local property tax payers on every project imaginable, and especially on the multi-million dollar bonded projects like this one!

The poll assumes a void premise: this is, that the government should be building sports arenas in the first place.

I quite agree. We have several public entertainment facilities already and non of them have ever been self-supporting. All are currently requiring annual influxes of property tax dollars to keep them running. Please help

Hmmm....my husband, who was once a Director of Procurement/Contracts for a large company....usually says...well...the “lowest” bidder is NOT always the best...in the end it sometimes costs MORE....because they just pad the project later with change orders.

Can’t do it. Lowest bid means nada. Local bid means nada. “Best bid” not even an option.

If local gubmint is a chip off the old Fed, they will award the job to anyone who will finance their next term. Corruption knows no boundaries.
