The leftists using similar language to describe Palin as they did Reagan does not in any way mean that Palin comes close or will ever come close to being a Ronald Reagan.
By the time Reagan ran for POTUS, he has a very credible CV and had extensive knowledgeable about foreign and domestic issues.

I don’t care who it is or how courageously they present themselves as defenders of Sarah Palin, when they claim that 0bama undoubtedly has a higher IQ, I’m done reading.

It is hard to defend Sarah Palin when she campaigns for the likes of Juan McLame. I like Sarah, but this REALLY turned me off! I don't know if I could bring myself to vote for her now. I would fear that McLame and little Miss Lindsey Gramnasty would no doubt end up being in prominent cabinet positions.

“As for me, after more than a year of seeing how those “prodigious oratorical and intellectual gifts” have worked themselves out in action, I remain more convinced than ever of the soundness of Buckley’s quip, in the spirit of which I hereby declare that I would rather be ruled by the Tea Party than by the Democratic Party, and I would rather have Sarah Palin sitting in the Oval Office than Barack Obama.”

Palin knows how to answer a direct question. THAT is obviously a rare and positive quality in a politician. I say this because so few politicians (many with more extensive experience and shrewder PR skills than hers) who are able or willing to do so.

Also, Palin knows how to get on topic and stay there. Lesser politicians cannot resist artfully straying to their particular and personal pet topics...and they invariably do so with the jejune and supercilious conviction that it is unnoticed by viewers or readers. There’s enough insolence there to choke the whole stable.

Finally, Palin knows how to make a sentence with a subject and a predicate. Try finding other life time politicians of any stripe who can boast THAT talent!!

When she is finished, I know EXACTLY what she said.

Oh how nice of you! SARC.

You see this is the problem. While the author was “defending” Sarah and the Tea Partiers, he writes with a certain hesitation.

What the hell is I would RATHER crap??

Sarah and the Tea Party people represents true Americans down to our founding.

And what is the Crap that Obama has a higher IQ?? Does he mean OFF PROMPTER IQ or ON PROMPTER IQ??

Because without the prompter this POTUS is clueless.

It seems to me that if you would sit on your hands instead of working for the election of Sarah Palin then you just don’t get it. Marxism is here and if you believe we should fight it then we need a warrior not an intellectual elitist. We have an American Pioneer, a veritable John Wayne in a skirt, either get on the wagon or get out of the way, the rest of us have a country to save.

What she does know—and in this respect, she does resemble Reagan—is that the United States has been a force for good in the world, which is more than Barack Obama, whose IQ is no doubt higher than hers, has yet to learn.

Where did this myth of BOs high IQ come from? The man who travels to all 57 states and thinks Doctors routinely amputate for fun is not the uh...uh...hmm...uh...brightest star in the galaxy.

There is a reason NONE of his transcripts have ever been released. And its not just because of citizenship issues. And while he might have some knowledge of socialist tactics, community organizing and forcing his positions on underlings, he shows a huge lack of maturity and lacks wisdom. He has no integrity, but that is not surprising, because most on the left are completely without any principles as well.

There is a reason so many people support Palin. She is a woman with principles. That is very refreshing considering what we see in DC right now.

I like Norman Podhoretz, but his recitation of ‘known Reagan’ before he was elected is chilling.

Reagan’s Morning in America told me all I needed to know. His campaign in 1979 and 80 drove home the fact that he had a good head on his shoulders.

Reagan didn’t go out to campaign for someone on a par with John MeCain. So I really don’t know where this guy is coming from.

As for the intellectuals of the party, perhaps Podhertz has a point in that the elites hated Reagan too. In that Palin echos Reagan, I and others cherish that part of her, and hold nothing but disdain for the elites or intellectuals of the party, that have consistently failed to grasp that message and fully support it and the people who deliver it.

What is troubling for me, and Podhertz cannot explain away, is how a person can one day back a despicable man like John MeCain who rules for five years of his six year term as a democrat, then the very next day travels to another venue to claim she is one with Conservatives, the Tea Party. Anyone who can flip the switch that easily troubles me intensely.

John, please don’t convolute understanding just to gain support for a single candidate. It is destructive.

N-pod gets Sarah. What next, will Krusty Krauthammer give her a little grudging respect?

And speaking of Sarah, the lady drew 40k+ to the desert yesterday for the Conservative Woodstock. Didn’t hear anything about Mittens’ or T-Paw’s speeches at said event. They were there, right?

This is actually somewhat significant. To have Podhoretz go to bat for you in a big way like this puts the rest of the intellectual community on notice that she’s got a heavyweight in her corner.

Not a bad week for Governor Palin at all. Especially after the guff she took from the “Burn Down the Town” Right over the McCain Endorsement (see “Loyalty” in the dictionary).
