OK, sure, the poor guy committed a grievous baseball sin. But now he's taking a beating, the kind Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano would give his own catcher, or maybe his manager.
It almost reminds me of the time CBS' Katie Couric sweetly asked Sarah Palin what she liked to read. Palin drew a blank and reporters never let her live it down.
But I say, let's leave the poor president alone. After all, he's a White Sox fan, isn't he?
Obama's troubles started Monday after he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals home opener.
He threw lefty and missed the plate, which wasn't surprising. What was surprising is what happened after he joined announcer Rob Dibble in the booth for some happy talk.

It’s not only that he couldn’t name a Sox player, he also didn’t know the name of the ballpark.
He said he went to games at what was then called “COME-IN-SKI” PARK, when every baseball fan, White Sox fan or not, knows that it was named “COMISKEY PARK”, with no “N” in it.
I call BS because if he was such a big White Sox fan, how would he misprounce the name of the ballpark?
What would you think of a Red Sox fan who told you he went to games at FALLWAY PARK instead of FENWAY PARK?
What about an old Pittsburgh Pirates fan who said he went to FORD’S FIELD instead of FORBES FIELD?
An old Dodgers fan who remembers games at EMMITT’S FIELD instead of EBBETTS FIELD?
Clearly this guy is clueless.
What would the reaction have been if a conservative Republican president had made these gaffes???
A better question is if he was held to the same standard as Bush...he would have been run out of town on a rail months ago.

The MSM would have hundreds of reporters attacking the Hawaii Clerk of court office and on Safari live from Kenya for starters. They would be swarming Chicago and all the dealings and camped out at Rezcos house with 20 satellite trucks. The New York Times and all Networks would devote over 50% of the coverage to the homeless and unemployed sob stories. They would stake out gas stations and get poor slobs to complain about the gas prices and the evil Obama collusion with oil companies etc etc. Also every war death would be reported and blamed on the Obama strategy with live reports of all innocent civilian death.
I remember in the last campaign when Hitlary claimed that she’d always been a Yankees fan. At least no one even pretended to take her seriously on that one. (They should have asked her what sport the Yankees play.)
After the election, it was said by some that we’d elected a kind of Tiger Woods...multi-racial, multi-cultural, champion that almost everyone admired. Then we found out who he really is.
Maybe we have elected a Tiger Woods. We don’t know who Obama is, or what he believed, the media covered for him for over a year...now we are finding out.
It’s not a pretty picture.
