Only 5% think diplomacy and sanctions can stop Iran, AJC poll finds.
Although a slim majority of American Jews supports the Obama administrations handling of US-Israel relations, a larger majority opposes any Israeli concession on Jerusalem as part of a peace deal, a survey released over the weekend by the American Jewish Committee revealed.
Fifty-five percent of respondents said they approved of the administrations policy regarding US-Israel relations. But 61% also said Israel should not be willing to compromise on the status of Jerusalem as a united city under Israeli jurisdiction as part of the framework of a peace settlement.

What did they do? Poll only the Reform Jews?
re: “Fifty-five percent of respondents said they approved of the administrations policy regarding US-Israel relations. But 61% also said Israel should not be willing to compromise on the status of Jerusalem as a united city under Israeli jurisdiction as part of the framework of a peace settlement.”
55% support Obama, yet 61% oppose his policies with Israel - this makes no sense.
Headline from 1932: German Jews pro-Hitler
Identity and religion is less important than political affiliation for some.
What a line of bull in the article. Jews may be more liberal, but; Obama fans now?
From this article I can only conclude that most Jews are unaware of the positions Obama has been taking on Israel.
This should shame the press. Of course, I am sure they are quite proud of their deceptions.
The article reveals that the issue separating American Jews and the Israeli government is settlements.
Probably. Reform “Jews” aren’t.
“German Jews pro-Hitler”
Believe it or not, some were. They figured Hitler was only going after the “other Jews”.
“The article reveals that the issue separating American Jews and the Israeli government is settlements.”
What separates these “Jews” and the Israeli government isn’t just the “settlements”. If it wasn’t the “settlements”, it would be something else.
I wonder how deep Obama has to stick the knife in their backs before they turn on him?
What is the support of American Christians for Israel vs.
the support from American Jews?
There should be a distinction between liberals and conservatives not of ethnicity or historic roots.
A liberal Christian is an oxymoron. Is this not the same for reform Jews?
Liberalism or socialism is a religion unto itself.
Judeao / Chrsitian values not welcome.
Authoritarianism and obedience to the state is required.
Self determiantion is not allowed.
HaHa!

They must be clueless.
So very bi-polar.
The Christians I know feel so strongly for Israel that they pray every day for its peace. I know quite a few messianic Christians also. We have a passover every year and they celebrate Jewish holidays and read Hebrew prayers.
And most of the evangelicals I know feel much the same. My guess is what keeps Israel afloat here is evangelical fervor, not Jewish. And it’s sort of sad because very few Jews realize the love Christians have for Israel and the Jewish people. They are still mentally living back in the middle ages and thinking about the Spanish Inquisition when Catholicism was the dominant faith.
Catholics are usually not so involved with the Jewish identity, but most evangelicals I know consider themselves “grafted into the tree and vine” as is described in the New Testament.
“Fifty-five percent of respondents said they approved of the administrations policy regarding US-Israel relations.”
******
Rasmussen, March 2010: “When President Obama challenged Israels settlement policy last June, 48% of voters said the presidents Middle Eastern policy was about right, but 35% say he was not supportive enough of Israel.”
A slightly higher (7%) per cent of “Jews” agree with US-Israel policy, but if you extrapolate this into the general population, there are way more than 100 million more non-Jewish Americans who agreed with the current policy.
