Did they express the same outrage at Jon Edwards when he was building his mansion?

Envy masked as environmentalism. The reality is that we're not resource constrained on this planet; in fact, we're quite empty on the whole.

“A 20,000 square-foot house - the resources that it takes to put it together and the land that it needs, this just can’t happen anymore.”

Eventually, the Green Weenies are gonna stop asking and they're gonna start telling. "This just can't happen anymore" will no longer be an idle threat.

Are my tax dollars involved? Because if they aren’t, I fail to see how this is anyone’s business other than the Bradys. Keep your laws off my body (and where that body resides) etc etc.......

Cut Tommy some slack, ecotards. After all, he did encourage everyone else to observe Earth Hour.

Symbolism trumps substance, yes? It's good enough for Al Gore.

There ought to be a law. Max 1000 square feet per tax-paying family. Period. For anyone who violates it, the Obama police can seize the house and give it to someone more deserving who wants more pie.

Did they express the same outrage at Jon Edwards when he was building his mansion?

Or how about the great environmentalist Thomas Friedman of the New York Times and the equivalent Mansion he lives in.
Or how about Al Gore and the 10,000 sq ft mansion he lives In.
Or what about the Green Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Mansion he lives in in Bel Air and not to mention the private jet he takes back and forth from LA to Sacramento every day.

I could list hypocrites all day long. The country and the Democratic Party is filled to the brim with them.

That said 20,000 sq ft is pretty vulgar but who am I to judge? It seems gaudy and in bad taste but it's not unusual for many of the rich (or not so rich). There are many rich people who have no taste. I could list them all day long.

It's poetic justice for Brady to get this flack. He's been making commercials for the environmental movement for some time. It's nice to see it blow back on him.

How much land does the Kennedy compound cover?

No outrage there, is there?

And of course, no wind farms because they interfere with the yachting.
