If you expect me to feel bad that people who were gaming the system wound up getting screwed, you will be disappointed.

If a house is built in a flood plain, he owner should either buy insurance (which is heavily subsidized), or accept his losses. This business of counting on the government to bail the owner out is just wrong. It causes people to build in areas that should never be built upon, because the resulting losses are all but inevitable.

I do not expect any such thing.

What I am trying to explain to everyone is exactly your point...it is a GAME. Ask anyone you know who lives near a body of water if they carry flood insurance. They will say NO and I just told you why.

But Obama is a different cat. He’s going to deny help to “regular” people (i.e. middle class white people) and their businesses (who, remember, have been already told that only assholes carry flood insurance) in order to give “help” to millionaires like Beyonce.

Who need no help and whom are already IN A FLOOD PLAIN.
