Pro-Troop Group Announces Third Annual Drive
to Support Military Servicemen and Women

Sacramento, Calif. - Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization is announcing the third annual “Troopathon” which is set to take place July 1st live from the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California. The Troopathon is a once-a-year fundraiser held by the group and consists of an 8 hour live video broadcast over the web and radio.
This 8 hour live broadcast is hosted by Melanie Morgan, talk radio veteran and pro-troop advocate with co-hosts including Mark Williams, also a talk radio host, and the conservative social media giant Andrew Breitbart . The group invites well known celebrities to come on the show and talk about their support for the troops, the sacrifices they make for our country, and encourage the audience to make donations throughout the show to support men and women deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The overall goal of the show is to raise money to send care packages.
In the 2 years since the Move America Forward began holding these events they have received participation from such well known celebrities as Jon Voight, Gary SInise, Kelsey Grammer, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, John Ondrasik of the band Five for Fighting and many others including letters of support sent by Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. Also participating are leading experts on security policy and journalists such as John Bolton, Andy McCarthy, Frank Gaffney, Robert Spencer and others. These important guests have been invited back and are expected to participate again, but the group is also expanding it’s list of famous hosts who want to help support the troops.
The innovative fundraising event is styled after a typical TV telethon and over the first 2 years that the event has been held, the organization has raised over $2 million to send support to troops overseas. This year the group is hoping to break their previously set record of $1.3 million raised on a single night.
