ANOTHER AID VESSEL TO ARRIVE FROM LEBANON
YNET NEWS.com ^ | Published: 06.06.10, 07:44 / Israel News | Roee Nahmias

SNIPPET: “Free Palestine Movement, Reporters with Borders say plan to send ship carrying dozens of activists, European MPs to Gaza as early as next weekend”

SNIPPET: “The Turkish-owned Mavi Marmara ship and the Irish-owned Rachel Corrie ship are not alone: Two non-governmental Lebanese organizations announced Saturday that the plan to send an aid vessel of their own to the Gaza Strip as early as next weekend.

In a press conference in Beirut, the Free Palestine Movement and Reporters without Borders organization announced that the ship, which will be carrying humanitarian aid, will include passengers interested in expressing their solidarity, as well as journalists. They said they believed they would be able to “break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.””

SNIPPET: “Yasser Kashlak, chairman of the Free Palestine Movement, called on “anyone who sees himself as a freeman to take part in this marine journey, which will leave the Lebanon coast this coming week.”

A representative of the Reporters without Borders organization said that “the ship will leave the Beirut coast on the weekend with 50 journalists and 25 European activists, including several European parliament members.” He stressed that this sail will not be “the end of it”.

On Friday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah delivered a televised speech during an event of solidarity with the Marmara sail to Gaza, which left nine activists dead during an Israeli raid, and called for “a second freedom sail, in order to break the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.” He urged Lebanese people to take part in the sail.”

“Dr. Daniel Yaakobi’s Murderer Gets Life in Jail”

by Maayana Miskin

SNIPPET: “The terrorist who murdered Dr. Daniel Yaakobi of Yakir, located in northeast Samaria, has been sentenced to life in prison. The terrorist, Tayun Tayun, murdered Yaakobi in 2006 at a car repair shop in the Arab village of Funduk in Samaria. His body was put in the trunk of his car, which was then set on fire.

Yaakobi, 59, had worked as a doctor for many years. He and his wife Hani had lived in Yakir for more than 20 years. He was survived by his wife, four children, and 12 grandchildren. His friends and neighbors described him as a deeply religious man who loved the land of Israel and who was dedicated to his work.

Tayun admitted to the murder, which he said was carried out in revenge for the death of Islamic Jihad terrorist Hamada Shatibi, who was killed by IDF soldiers as he attempted to escape after being arrested.”

Surprise is not the issue. I want to know who at the top is directing it, because it is obviously a provocation timed for something larger.

Misdirection. Keep Israelis focused on Gaza while the real attack is being prepared from another direction. Israel has finite resources, and its leadership has a finite ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Iran is behind this.
