I’ve been out of the loop recently- can’t believe we have freepers who wouldn’t support Costner or anyone’s ideas to mitigate this nightmare. I remember weeks ago he was begging for at least a chance to try his technology. It seemed odd that no one took him up on it. But...then we are all wondering what’s really going on here anyway.
It’s gotten to the point that some FReepers come here to bash— talk is cheap, and thoughtless, critical commentary is really cheap. It’s all they do. Costner and Cameron are easy targets because of their political and Hollywood connections. We spend whole threads bashing Michelle Obama’s appearance— because it’s fun to abuse, and real issues (her actions, speech and beliefs) are less important. We did it to Chelsea Clinton, so why not do it to Michelle Obama? Civility is out the window.

Who or what is stopping Kevin Costner from trying his technology? It's a big spill and it's not like the Navy or Coast Guard has it sealed off. If KC has a centrifuge-equipped vessel just send it out there & let somebody try & stop you. Better to act and beg forgiveness... (actually his postion would be much stronger than that).
