McCain Dumps $10 Million On Primary (PANICKING, DESPERATE RINO ALERT)
National Journal ^ | 2010-07-23 | Sean Sullivan

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spent more than $10M on his primary battle against ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R), according to his 2ndQ campaign finance report, leaving him with a much narrower financial advantage in the GOP primary than he once enjoyed.

McCain has spent a total of $15.7M this cycle, according to FEC reports, and he has just $1.78M left to spend before the Aug. 24 GOP primary. Hayworth had $922K in the bank, his reports showed.

"Senator McCain takes every campaign seriously, and this race is no exception. Senator McCain is proud of the statewide support he's received from Arizonans, both financial and otherwise," said McCain spokesperson Brian Rogers.

McCain has been blanketing the AZ airwaves with TV ads, but he has apparently made a significant cutback in the size of his buy lately. According to Hayworth media consultant Dan Bayens, McCain has reduced his ad spending from $150K-$250K a week -- where he had been since March -- down to $40K a week currently.

“Please read post 112, and lets be done with it.”

And by the way, I did read and respond to it. Trying not to get ticked off here because you are are good man.

Although you nailed me on details, my general point stands”

What point?

Palin married herself off to McCain, and said repeatedly that she backs his positions 100%.

PANICKING, DESPERATE RINO ALERT

Sorry to disagree, but he is probably reducing his spending because he just doesn't need to spend the money.

As much as I hate it, McCain has this one wrapped up. Hayworth just didn't have the right stuff to put the nail in McCain's coffin.

Why?

I thought the “polls showed” McCain ahead by 30 points.

” So what names did I call him? And I suppose conservatives should never have chosen to President Washington. He was too close to Hamilton and John Adams, both of whom were tyrants. In fact, the Constitution itself is tainted — we should not have signed it because Hamiliton and Adams were tyrants. That is still the logic of Palin bashers. Although you nailed me on details, my general point stands. “

What are you talking about?

What is your general point?

McCain spending to date $15,759,000.00 (90% LIES)

Hayworth = $1,600,000.00

Stay out of Arizona politics pal. You don’t have an effin clue! I am no expert on Alabama, so I leave it to locals.

Washington made terrible mistakes.

He went muzzle-to-muzzle with Red Coats numerous times and almost lost the Revolution by not learning from successful battles. One could look at the glass as half empty and say he should have been forced to resign as general.

His relationship with Hamilton led to the Whiskey Rebellion. One could look at the glass as half empty and say he should have been forced to resign as President.

Washington’s relationship with Adams ultimately led to the Sedition Acts and tyranny agains the press. One could look at the glass as half empty and say he should never have been president and that this group of tyrants should never have been trusted to draft a Constitution. [Thank God they did!]

And Reagan chose Mr. Voodoo Economics as his running mate. How could conservatives support that ticket?

Now regarding to your latest point [which circles back to my first point] — people mistrust Palin / McCain primarily due to borders. If she’s for guest worker — normalization — amnesty, she might as well not enter the primary [as far as I’m concerned]. But that is not her position:

Governor Palin Is Right: Secure the Border First, We’ll Deal With The Rest Later

Governor Palin made the point that when it comes to immigration the first thing that needs to be done is “secure the border”.

Yes she most assuredly is. Her latest incarnation is to “register” illegal immigrants so they can stay here and work, and then become citizens That is amnesty.,

If you are correct, I would not support her in the primary, and she does need to answer that question sometime. Here’s the last update I had found:

May 15, 2010
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/15/politics/main6487463.shtml
Brewer and Palin refused to say whether they’d support a guest worker program that would allow unskilled workers to temporarily work legally in the United States.

She won’t. She really blew it with the registration scam. Someone caught her off guard

“I haven’t noticed a single Palin supporter who was rah-rah over the McCain endorsement, which was a long time back by the way. Nor do I see rabid hatred of my governor McDonnell of Virginia for endorsing McCain.”

I don’t imagine that Gov. McDonnell’s endorsement had the same impact as Sarah Palin’s - do you?

“He cut Hayworth some slack for his mistake, and rightly so. What about Palin? Can we at least give her the same leeway we give JD?”

Sure, if you ask me. But we can still ask tough questions about Gov. Palin, and we should. I must say, I think sometimes people lack in civility on this board - on both sides of any issue. I never personally like to see that. Half of cutting anyone slack, imho, is to be civil. One can be forceful, even vehement, and still be civil. Hopefully we all aspire to that here - or will. I’d rather be civil, than entertaining (dramatics, fireworks, flame posting) frankly. I’d rather be both civil and entertaining though! ;)

“So was Reagan. And by the way, he chose Mr. Voodoo Economics to be his running mate. Uups. I guess no one should have voted for Reagan.”

Sarah Palin, may well still pull out a historic rabbit from her hat - I’m not saying she won’t, and as I mentioned, I wish her all the success - but I still have my reservations about her - and I’m sure any name I put up here - you’d probably have something that could potentially detract from their conservative bona fides. But I will say - I do like Jim DeMint at the moment - or perhaps someone like Paul Ryan - although we’ve only had one, or two perhaps (Ford by appointment) POTUSes come from the HoR.

“They did the same to Reagan. Yeah, we should ask the media who to support.”

I didn’t say that. I’m saying she’s behind that eight ball, and perhaps we all are, but certainly she’s hugely beyind that eight ball to begin with. We surely need to know the field we’re on and know our enemies, right?

That doesn’t change the fact that McCain is way ahead in the polls. Arizonans had a clear choice between the two and they still chose Juan. Like I said before, the people of Arizona deserve the invasion they are getting. Hell, for all I care Mexico can have the idiots and their whole damn state.

BS. If I was a liberal troll, I would be supporting Juan. The fact remains that Arizonans, even after supporting a crackdown on illegals in their state, are about to once again reelect one of the premiere RINO traitors to the Senate.

Ask yourself why Hayworth doesn't have funds to match McCain. Where are the conservative Arizona voters who should be bankrolling JD's campaign? I'm not from your state, but I contributed more than a $100. If the people of Arizona are so damned intent in turning their state into a third world cesspool, why should I care anymore? In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve.
