Small world, I've got a good friend in Tulsa, I did note your earlier statement "In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve", do you view us (meaning America as a whole) as still being a Republic, or a 'democracy'?

I view America as a representative democracy where corrupt, ignorant, apathetic and even downright stupid voters, or at least a plurality of those how actually bother to vote, continuously elect corrupt politicians who time and time again use the legal document on which our long dead Republic was based as toilet paper.

“I’d rather be both civil and entertaining though! ;)”

Me too. I also want strong assurances by Palin regarding specific “Nos” to ‘normalization aka pathway to citizenship aka amnesty.

I can understand her treading carefully during this primary, but if she herself enters a primary? She needs to make it crystal clear that illegals must go home first, to the back of the line in every sense of the word. And frankly, that should be a mark against them compared to those who never came here illegally.

That doesn’t change the fact that McCain is way ahead in the polls. Arizonans had a clear choice between the two and they still chose Juan. Like I said before, the people of Arizona deserve the invasion they are getting. Hell, for all I care Mexico can have the idiots and their whole damn state.

Puh-leeeze, DZ. Several things:

McQueeg is not as far ahead as an incumbent should be at this point. Plus, I firmly believe that he is spending $$ that Mr. Campaign Finance Reform bankrolled during his epic failure of a POTUS run in '08.

I certainly hope that JD will not waste the time he spent on his book, "Whatever it Takes," which dealt with illegals. I think that we will be pleasantly surprised when polls are done which reflect JD's commercials coming out which will highlight McAmnesty's position.

And, lest we forget:

John McCain was Decimated by JD Hayworth in the Second Senate Primary Debate.

” Ask yourself why Hayworth doesn’t have funds to match McCain.”

Duh? McCain had a 20 million war chest. nobody can raise that type of money in a state with a population this size.

McCain spending to date $15,759,000.00 (90% LIES)

Hayworth = $1,600,000.00

Palin’s radio ad ran more than 600 times all over the state too.

And Fox news has benn 100% for McCain. Hayworth was treated better on CNN.

Give me a list of people outspent by 10 to 1 who beat a 4 term incumbent.

McCain even bought off the tea parties out here with jobs.

Why don’t you ask why so few conservatives from out of state failed to contribute to Hayworth when the stakes were so high?

You trash my state, I trash you!

Agreed. Gov. Palin, like any of our candidates, needs to be thoroughly vetted and scrutinized. I agree with your thoughts about Reagan, who was not the ‘perfect’ Conservative either, nor did some of his admin fit that bill for sure. She’s been through the storm already, so one may make the case that she’s already battle hardened, and that may be true. Mebbe, she will be our first Madame President.

If it’s perfection we’re looking for, this is the wrong planet/place for that. That said, I agree that some issues are VERY important - and immigration and amnesty is one of those issues.

We have been betrayed on borders too many times and too many ways. I heard an AZ sheriff interviewed on Hannity yesterday. AZ law enforcers are completely sickened by the slanders.
