Van Jones: Stop worrying about the deficit. Government can just take more money from rich companies

LAS VEGAS, NV — While the federal government sinks deeper into debt than any time since World War II, former White House “green jobs” adviser Anthony Van Jones said it was time to stop worrying about budget deficits and pressure Washington to take more money from American businesses to fund larger social and infrastructure projects.

“This is a rich country. We have plenty of money, and if you don’t believe me, ask Haliburton,” Jones told a group of progressive bloggers and activists at the Netroots Nation convention Friday. “There’s plenty of money out there; don’t fall into the trap of this whole deficit argument.”

“The only question is how to spend it,” he added.

Like most communists, Van Jones ignores the right of investors to get a return for the money they invested to build that company and make it profitable. Van Jones talks like a mental case. He certainly is ignorant of how the world really works.

“Does she really admire this guy? Unbelievable!”

In her own words.
I saw a video of her some months ago. IIRC,
She was talking about having been on an Alaskan cruise with him.

This braindead moron is so ignorant of economics that I'm not even going to dignify his comment with a response.

Other than ughhh...

I am sure he oozes charm, and some women never learn, even those we think should be savvy..However, I am very disappointed in her for this. She, evidently, has not done her homework.

Yeah, Obama voters are dumb enough to believe anything.

Sadly, they are. Though I find it hard to believe that the people at Van Jones' level or higher sincerely believe this to be true. I would figure they would just spout this crap just to get the sympathies and vote of a dumb public.

And Republicans lack motivation to confront Democrats on making life worse for their constituents, instead of getting a pay check, a bankruptcy notice would be more appropriate for CONgress

Why bother the corporations at all?

Why not just raise the cigarette tax?

The whole budget of the federal government could be funded with just a modest $157.66/pack tax.

the Soviet Union’s 70 years was not a good test because they had the good old USA under Reagan pushing them in a way that no one would push us in todays world.

If it wasn't for the intercession of World War II, The Soviet system would have collapsed by 1960.

I was so angry, I would just as soon see Moonbeam as Gov.

*** "I just say this crap with a big smile. That way all the sap-happy libs wet themselves in adoration." ***

There's only one thing hate more than commies.
And that's, well, commies. ;-)

Blood and destruction shall be so in use
And dreadful objects so familiar
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war(1)

Someday soon we will realize that commies aren't cool, and once again we will be at war with them. But this time it's 'We Win'. (has to be or it's 'over')

Biden once said of Obama that “you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” It caused a stir.

It could be said that Van Jones has these characteristics as well. Van Jones for President!

This agitation against business by Van Jones and his fellow Communists in the White House is going to foment a Depression like we’ve never seen. Which is exactly what they want. When do regular people realize that their lives and fortunes are worth a lot more than Van Jones?

“Van Jones: Stop worrying about the deficit. Government can just take more money from rich companies”

Well, I won’t say I’m the least bit surprised. Dick Morris (I know, I know, but he’s right on this one) said it best when he stated that this administration’s view of the private sector is purely as a cash cow to fund their agenda.

I’d go even further to say, the idea of a robust private sector economy being a good thing in and of itself just doesn’t compute with these people. In fact they see it as something to be suspicious of, because in their view, an unmanaged economy means exploitation and a lack of ‘fairness’.
