Resentment? No. Principled rejection of a tyranny of my neighbors? Yes.

A person can be pretty smart. People are morons.

Actually...........it depends on the angle and force of the hit. And it also depends on the body type of the person that is hit.......

I have on purpose hit a person hard, in the chest with the ball of my fist....to take them out of V-Tach. Also, just asked an alert person to just cough hard...and that took them out of a run of V-Tach too............

fwiw-

Here's one of the coolest books you'll ever see. How to build an electric motor with mercury instead of brushes, how to make a bow and arrow that will put the arrow clean through a half-inch oak plank, and similar interesting and exciting stuff. "The Boy's book in work and play". Of course it's out of print, and probably illegal :).

I’m sure many of us think about the crazy, foolish and dangerous stuff we pulled when we were young...and we thank God we made it thru...

Rest in peace young man.

My prayers to the parents and the other child.

Actually if hit in the chest by an object, over the heart, in between beats the heart will stop. This has happened with basketballs and soccer balls and baseballs hitting a person, also a punch thrown at a persons chest can also have the same effect. More than likely this is what happened and if CPR had been administered immediately the kid probably would not have died.

I'm guessing that CPR would not have mattered at that point. A six pound object at a decent velocity is 'blunt force trauma' -- the kind that can crush heart tissue or split the aorta. That is far worse than a line drive or a punch that can knock the heart out of rhythm.
