I wonder if they are union members? They can’t stand competition.

Don’t forget....pets can’t tell the doc where it hurts or how they feel. It’s kinda like diagnosing babies and toddlers.

Absolutely.

It adds a whole new dimension to diagnosing.

You are correct. After I stated that, which I had believed was right, I did further research. I still use it to put together my cuts and my dogs’ cuts.

“That is why it was invented in the first place.”

I bet it makes gender-reassignment surgery faster, too.

What do you use on cows and where do you buy it?

Penicillin from any farm supply store.....

Use it sparingly as there can be problems if you use it too much as your bugs will develop resistance.

I was doing some research on enzymes a few years ago and I am also a beer and wine maker. I make a milk stout that has lactose in it and needed a stabilizer. Found this enzyme additive that is actually the same enzyme that is produced in the human tear ducts, sinus cavity and saliva glands that kills all graham positive bacteria by dissolving the cell wall. It’s what keeps people from getting strep throat. It even kills mersa. Problem is, it’s one of the slowest acting enzymes. It was discovered by the same guy who discovered penicillin, Alexander Flemming when his drips from his nose killed his cultures in the petre dish. Its lysozyme. I buy it bulk... my beer is healthy!

veterinarians are actually better trained than a lot of MDs

It is harder to vet into Vet school than it is to get into Medical school. Has been for a long time. OTOH, I have a neighbor who is a retired dermatologist. I ask him for advice on my dogs all the time because when he was in the Navy he took care of all the War Dogs at Great Lakes Naval Air Station.

sewed up the cut in his leg himself. The man was later reported to the police for his impromptu handiwork.

My ex claimed when he was a young boy living on the farm he fell and cut his chin badly on a milking bucket. His father, having little money, took hog rings and closed the wound. From the look of his scar I believed it. The ex always claimed that particular “abuse” was what caused him to be so mean, thusly becoming an ex. I don’t know if I believe that excuse, though.

A second grader at our elementary school cut his leg badly one Saturday morning. His mother wouldn’t/didn’t take him to the ER. He sewed it up by himself...with orange thread.

His silly teacher panicked Monday morning and cut the stitched loose and called the county nurse. The nurse chastized the teacher for cutting the stitches out as they could not be re-sewed and said the kid had done a pretty good job.

It upsets me, still, to think how the little boy must have felt.
