But hospital staff were not as impressed by his initiative and have reported the man on suspicion of arbitrary conduct for having used hospital equipment without authorization. How dare he! </sarc>

Geez, after hearing this story I might just go to a good
seamstress. They just charge 6 bucks to shorten a pair of pants, and I bet they would do a neater job than most emergency room hacks. ;-)

That’s what I was wondering.
I carry super glue with me as a just-in-case. Clean the wound. Mash the edges together. Seal with super glue. That is why it was invented in the first place.

Ditto that- I’ve used superglue on some very nasty cuts: works great! Just make sure the wound is very clean first.

All you need is two bottles of whiskey. But don’t give the seamstress hers until she’s finished stitching.

Nearly cut the end of my finger off when I was just a pimply faced pup.
I was going to just cut the rest of it off...My pop said...nope, just place that piece on the stump, and tape it on...it will grow back.
I thought he was nuts...but it worked.
Broke my hand years later...sliding into second base. I knew where I broke it...and how it was broke. People told me..."Oh you have to go the doctor...!!" I didn't go...it never hurt, and I knew they couldn't cast it. And lo and behold...it healed.

My Dad, God rest his soul, was a veterinarian. One icy morning while doing chores, she slipped and put a major gap in his lower lip requiring stitches.
Dad was not vain, but the local ER did such a hack job, he carried scars for quite sometime after. On the way out, he told them he did better work on a horse.
I predict that veterinarians will be picking up a lot of slack as millions more entitlement cases are dumped on an already overloaded system. Their training is as rigorous as most MDs and their ability to innovate is much less restrained by the threat of lawsuits.
When Jimmy Carter was president, Dad used to joke that some veterinarian must have grafted a horse's ass where his brain belonged.

Arrogant pr..ks. Had they been at work like they were supposed to, he wouldn’t had to touch their precious little things.
