Very thoughtful post.

Religion is defined as: *a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny*

Any act or behavior that promotes harm to another human being or damage to society (under cover of a religious practice) should be treated as a crime.

i.e. mutilation, honor killing, asassination, terrorism, theft, treason.

Not sure we want to go there. freedom of association is part of the 1st Amend. Do we want to see raids on the Boy Scouts while “conspiring in their ‘non-inclusive’ secret meetings” ?

Right.

The other obvious crime is that the presence of a mosque would represent simple assault to everyone in that community. The threat itself is a crime too, of course.

The mosque at Ground Zero would most certainly could be looked at as intent to cause bodily harm or to kidnap.
