ABC reports: Two men taken off a Chicago-to-Amsterdam United Airlines flight in the Netherlands have been charged by Dutch police with preparation of a terrorist attack, U.S. law enforcement officials tell ABC News. A spokesman for the Dutch public prosecutor, Ernst Koelman, confirmed the two men were arrested this morning and said the investigation is ongoing. He said the arrests were made at the request of American authorities.
The two were allowed to board the flight at OHare airport last night despite security concerns surrounding one of them, the officials said.
The men were identified as Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi, of Detroit, MI, and Hezem al Murisi, the officials said. A neighbor of al Soofi told ABC News he is from Yemen.
Airport security screeners in Birmingham, Alabama first stopped al Soofi and referred him to additional screening because of what officials said was his bulky clothing.
In addition, officials said, al Soofi was found to be carrying $7,000 in cash and a check of his luggage found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together, a box cutter and three large knives. Officials said there was no indication of explosives and he and his luggage were cleared for the flight from Birmingham to Chicago OHare.
Soofi was apparently allowed to travel to Chicago, where he checked luggage on a flight bound for Washington-Dulles and eventually Yemen. But instead of boarding that flight, Soofi joined Al Musiri on the United flight from OHare to Amsterdam.
On learning this, Customs and Border called the Dulles flight back to the gate and removed Soofis luggage. No explosives were found.

Notice...Hezem al Murisi had just shaved his mustache! Not sure what that means.
Now if they could just apprehend the countless would-be terrorists creeping across the Mexican border and down through Canada....
These two pinheads were clearly not the sharpest tacks in the box.
You’re right. It looks like he just the day of this photo shaved off a moustache he’d had for a very long time.
Militant Presbyterians.
Scary eyes.
Getting all body hair off is preparation for martyrdom. They must be pure to get their 72 brides in paradise.

Now that’s just profiling. /S
In the meanwhile, an 85-year-old woman was terrorized by airport security thugs at Ottawa Airport in January 2010 and got little sympathy from Canadian transport minister John Baird, who refused to apologize, warning that disabled grandmas will continue to be treated as possible Al-Qaeda suicide bombers

They better check his junk then. That will seal it. Unless he’s a porn star.
If they have been cahrged with preparing for a terrorist attack, I’m very curious to hear more details, like the logistics, weapons and targets involved.
I've heard that full body shaving is sometimes performed before "martyrdom" operations. Of course, we can't tell that from the photo, but it would be a poor interrogator who didn't look for this.
WTF....?
My question exactly.
I would NEVER fly from Detroit to Amsterdam for ANY reason. They took off from Chicago just to throw the TSA off the trail, IMO (taking tinfoil hat off;) And if I’m suddenly seized with the desire to wander around old buildings and eat cheese with people who don’t speak English, I’ll take an ocean liner;)
