I would also suspect these two are related. Look at the faces from the nose down, the width of the face, the angles of the lips, chin and the creases on the side of the nose.

Notice...Hezem al Murisi had just shaved his mustache! Not sure what that means.I've heard that full body shaving is sometimes performed before "martyrdom" operations. Of course, we can't tell that from the photo, but it would be a poor interrogator who didn't look for this.
