What have we come to when middle-class girls like this see whoring as a career choice?
Daily Mail ^ | 9th September 2010 | Ben Mooney

Posted on 09/09/2010 1:08:55 PM PDT by Niuhuru

When it comes to human failings, I always try to be understanding. In fact, readers of my Saturday advice column in the Mail will know that it’s my stock-in-trade. But there are times, I’m afraid, when sympathy fails me and I am left nursing a deep anger which needs putting into words.

Sometimes, even those words fail me. How else to respond to this week’s story of well-educated girls — brought up in decent homes with every privilege — choosing to sell their bodies for a fast buck, not caring how many footballers use them in one week?

I’ll just assume the parents are proud of it.

Like when Miley Cyrus took off her shirt at 15 for the camera.

Hanging’s too good for them. Burning’s too good for them! They should be torn into little bitsy pieces and buried alive!

middle-class girls like this see whoring as a career choice>>>>>

At least some of them just want to experience having sex with many different men. .... So they figure why not get paid for it. Most women don’t want to have so many sexual partners in their lifetime. But some have a hunger to “test drive” many different guys. It is in their genetic makeup. It has always been thus but these days it is more possible to pull off....because everything is so much looser

In Japan (not related to this posted article - geez) there are shops that sell nothing but magazines and DVD’s of “Under 15’s” in the skimpiest bathing suits imaginable in sexual poses.

All legal and embraced of course in perverted Japan. And by “U-15” they do mean as young as 8.

The dad’s are usually the ones holding the camera.

Family Values ain’t what it once was.

Who said I approve of this? I never implied that you must approve of it either. My question is “What can you or I do about this?” The answer is “Not one darn thing”.

Is it a shame? Yup. So is child labor in India, China and the Middle East. What are the alternatives? Take actions to stop it, and make the children lose whatever meager living they have and starve to death on the street?

Ugly fact of life. What do you suppose happens to the street urchins in 3rd world countries? They either starve, or are murdered by larger children who are hired by local shopkeepers who pay to exterminate potential future thieves. This is what happens in Mexico, among other places. Those who escape this life, may find themselves as sex slaves or the very lucky one’s may find employment as a laborer.

Life is ugly, cruel and harsh. So, what can we do about what happens in a sovereign country? The ONLY thing that I’m aware of is that if a US Citizen travels to a foreign country to participate in sexual tourism that is illegal in the US, can face prosecution when they return. How often this is caught is anyone’s guess. I’d guess ‘seldom’.

I see the world as it is; not as I’d like it to be. I do not approve of it, and if I were King, it would be different.

I mean that in some countries the “dark under belly” has gone mainstream. I wasn’t talking about street urchins when I mentioned Japan. It’s mainstream there.

I never meant to say YOU personally supported it.

I live in Japan . I bet you could count on 2 hands the number of elementary school girls who have engaged in prositution . Middle and high a different story but I doubt the 20% figure is true .

IMHO, it has to do with the values of the society the girl was raised in.

For example, you don’t find ‘many’ women in India in porn. Sure, there are some, but they are not common, and there are millions of poor families there. Their society has a very dim view on this sort of behavior.

But in other countries, like Thailand; it’s not only accepted, it’s their #1 export.

Girls in England (from the story) see that they can buy the expensive jewelry, designer jeans, drive the nice cars by selling their bodies for a couple hours a week; and not have to work or study. It’s not hard to see the allure of banging a celebrity and getting paid top dollar for your time.

Then we have the media making faux-celebrities from the likes of Paris Hilton and the Kardasian sistes who have done NOTHING other than make a sex tape. Hmmm, get laid, be attractive, film it and retire - sounds good, huh?

In other places, the girls sell themselves and save the money - I personally knew many girls who danced in Texas at a “Gentleman’s Club” and either bought Real Estate (4 different Fourplexes) or earned their Masters in Architecture, or paid for their tuition for other areas. They worked in a small club outside of Houston, then moved away and got a job - and no one ever knew how they earned their money, their Lexus, boobs or their expensive lifestyle.

Some were drug addits feeding a habit, others were smart and realized that they have a short time in which to earn as much money as they could, and still have time to party and have fun. Some met and married the businessman or Doctor that came to the club for a good time. Of the 4 girls I knew - 3 of them ‘retired’ comfortably at the age of 35. One with 16 2 bedroom apartments (the Fourplexes), antoher with her Masters in Architecture and then got a job in New York, and the third went on to get her degree in Pharmacy, with her entire college tuition paid in advance, as well as a Condo and Lexus paid for.

These were probably the exception, but they were able to use the situtaion to their advantage.

I’m a guy, and given a choice between dropping down to a G-string and dancing badly to bad music 1 night a week; or working 40 hours a week for less money .... I’d have danced.

The 20% figure came from a Japanese newspaper.... a racy tabloid probably but it was Japanese.

Wel , I just had a chat with my Japanese daughter ( 22 ) and wife ( Japanese ) , and I guess I was wrong about the 20% figure . Guess I’ve been living too long in the countryside where prostitution of this kind is almost unheard of . Apparently in Tokyo , Osaka and other large cities it’s rampant .

Adam Smith (some of you may recognize his name) was adamant that capitalism without a moral framework was bankrupt from the start. Likewise our Founding Father John Adams was clear that the Constitution they gave us was fit only for an educated and moral public, and no one else.

The topic of this thread is the degeneration of civil society, not sex or easy money or kiddie porn.

First of all, what they are really selling is youth...because no one wants an old lady for sex, but everyone wants the hot young college co-ed.

Youth, not sex. That’s what people are paying to tap into.

Second, you can bet that the middle-class co-eds are picky about their clients. In other words, they’d sleep with them anyway, or not at all, money be hung.

In the meantime they are being materialistic, and it’s debateable as to whether the hookers or the johns get the better end of the deal.

It is already here.

Look at the shows, and the life choices many young women make.

The only difference is a true whore is often paid more.

Go to the local mall on a Saturday.

I’ve read news accounts here in the US of middle class high school girls turning tricks at malls in order to get designer clothes. Thanks to feminism, women in the west have become real commodities. Society, and even parents, no longer protect young women. Everytime I see parents out with their young daughters who are dressed like street-walkers, I want to ask them WTH are they thinking. Espcecially the dads.
