AUSTIN For the first time in more than a decade, trial lawyers a key source of campaign cash for Democrats are betting big on the party's candidate for governor. Plaintiffs attorneys gave more than $1.9 million through June, the most recent figures available, to Democrat Bill White's campaign. And a Houston lawyer is bankrolling a political committee with $3 million to help beat incumbent Republican Rick Perry.

Not surprising. I hope there are no Texans reading this that have been taken in by White. Perry ain’t the best out there, but he’s the best in this race.
Yes, how dare Texas place extreme limits on damages awarded when we prosecute these ‘ambulance-chaser’ cases. That’s what this is about, they want the damages cap removed.
At the end of the day, White is still a Democrat, a member of the party of radical socialism, death and perversion. Perry, with all his faults, stands heads above White in the issues that matter.
This won’t help White — Texans don’t care for lawyers. I am a Texan and a lawyer ... and even I don’t care for lawyers.

Ambulance chasers for Clintonista Rat.
Expect him to run again in 2012 for Senate if/when he loses his run for Governor.
No, he doesn't. One, he's corrupt -- he's in the pockets of a group of about a dozen billionaires who fund his campaigns. They're quite open about it. Two, he's small-minded and venal, not what you look for in a goobernor. Three, he's a RiNO, having changed parties only because Texas began voting GOP in statewide races. And Four, he was accused by people at the Austin American Statesman of having had affairs with two of his (male) secretaries of state several years ago. There was a big powwow with Austin newspaper editors, and then the story was hushed up -- but not before 'Rat homosexuals rallied all over Texas, holding up banners challenging Rick Perry to "come out -- we understand!!!"
He's rotten goods, and any other Republican except maybe the pro-abort RiNO-ess Kay Bailey Hutchison (and a couple other notorious Dallas-area ascendant RiNO's/RiNOesses) would have been an improvement.
Electing White goobernor would be a total disaster. His complete c.v. has never been published by the Houston Chronicle because, well, they're covering it up. His career is a monument to identity-political Ratliness and access capitalism, Chicago Fascist style.
If White's elected, the 'Rat party's main assignment for him will be to make himself the last white, Anglo-Saxon governor of Texas.
Lesbian mayor Annise Parker, his successor, would like to follow him to the governor's mansion, but Texas isn't that rotten yet.
Oh, and the Chronicle still hasn't told us how Parker won the mayor's race. Trade secret, you see. They keep political secrets for the 'Rats, and invent crimes for Republicans like Tom Delay.
If Perry's sexuality is in question, at least he still defends the traditional family value of marriage. His outspoken, staunch stance on our marriage amendment in 2006, telling the sodomites to move to another state if they didn't like the definition of marriage, was a principled stand.
I didn't say Perry was perfect - not by a longshot - but even with his many faults, he is still miles better than an Øbama drone. Yes, he is.
The Comical endorsed Bill White for governor. That’s right up there with their turd term endorsement of Lee-period P-period Brown (who they safely elected and then agreed was a bad mayor).
The status quo said "don't vote for that other guy, he's going to build us a soccer stadium we don't need and can't afford."
Parker was elected and we are getting that same soccer stadium anyway. Rats lie. Always.
Was it? "Principled"? Don't think so. The point is, the guy's a career hypocrite, scapegrace, and bull-steerer. And he's sold to someone else.
Incumbency notwithstanding, Rick Perry is one of the weakest candidates the Republicans could put forward. His days as a "placeholder" for George W. Bush are long since over. Ultimately, his career will be a loser for the GOP, for conservatives, or for any group that allows itself to be associated with Rick Perry.
Well, if they lied, if the HomoRats lied, if they all lied, then that should be an actionable libel if Perry could vindicate himself -- I say "could" because he hasn't lifted a finger, beyond issuing the formulaic Clintonesque denial (lie once brazenly and comprehensively, then shut up).
He's a bigger Mark Foley. Conservatives and Tea Party people cannot associate with this guy, or allow themselves to be associated with him.
Debra Medina at least bailed out the Tea Party people by running. Social conservatives still have a problem.
He will most of Texas knows what he is
