This is where impeachment might come from. By giving his own allies advance carte blanche to violate the Voting Rights Act and various civil rights acts Obama has made himself an accessory before the fact to all the crimes those people commit on his behalf. I's just like a cop agreeing to be someplace else while a bank gets robbed.

Frankly I think Yaki needs to go down too. He’s been running his mouth all over the internet bashing Coates and republicans.

Yep, a bombshell and I am looking forward to the prosecutions once we recover the House.
How big is the bombshell? Do you understand “glass parking lot”.
Remember, November is Coming.

The whole article seems to “poo-poo” the notion that the DOJ has done anything wrong - or that white voters even have - or deserve - protection under the law???

Refusal to faithfully enforce the laws of the land is legitimate cause for impeachment.

I love this part because they can’t find anything, other than baseless allegations, that blacks are disenfranchised or prevented from voting at all. So, if this is truly the worst example, then white people are pretty safe, but are still a lot more threatened than blacks!
So, you either deal with this as documented case of a civil rights violation, or you admit that this problem is offically solved and close down the department.

Well, this would be one count. You need more than one for the first black president. Darrell Issa will be working on that come January.
You also need his poll numbers down under 30. Hussein is working on that himself and he should be there by this coming summer.

“The case could damage the Obama administration, says Mr. Lichtman at American University. But he also argues that most Americans understand that the Voting Rights Act was intended to correct gross and historic injustices, not nit-pick along partisan lines.
“You can try to force [the Voting Rights Act] to be equal, but it’s not,” he says. “If these are the worst examples you can find, then, by God, white people in America are pretty safe.”
This is a damning statement.
It completely trashes equal protection under the law.

Does anyone know the rest of the story on Abigail Thernstrom? Politico is quoted here as quoting her as defending Holder. Has her position been misrepresented here? Was she dismissing only one small part of this or speaking at an earlier stage before some of the information came out? Or does she truly, even now, think that DOJ has done nothing wrong and that the Civil Rights Act was intended to be enforced unevenly?
