Witnesses in Defense Dept. Report Suggest Cover-Up of 9/11 Findings
Fox News ^ | 10/04/10 | Catherine Herridge

A document obtained and witnesses interviewed by Fox News raise new questions over whether there was an effort by the Defense Department to cover up a pre-9/11 military intelligence program known as "Able Danger."

At least five witnesses questioned by the Defense Department's Inspector General told Fox News that their statements were distorted by investigators in the final IG's report -- or it left out key information, backing up assertions that lead hijacker Mohammed Atta was identified a year before 9/11.

Article mentions the coverup of Able Danger

This investigation is part of an ongoing series, "Fox News Reporting.” Earlier this year, the series special "The American Terrorist" uncovered new details about the American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is linked to the attempted Christmas Day bombing, and about efforts by the FBI to track and recruit him for intelligence purposes after 9/11.

identified as what?

A terrorist. A subject of interest.
I remember back in 05 or early 06 there were a lot of FReepers tracking the Able Danger story. Rep. Curt Weldon from PA, IIRC, was becoming quite vocal about it. He lost his re-election in 06 ... coincidence? I think not.

Ok, lets get in our way back machine and prevent the 9/11 attacks.

The 9/11 report wasn't complete? It wasn't the whole truth?
I'm SHOCKED!

What good does this do NOW? Let's concentrate on the attack on our country, taking place right now, from the Marxists in the White House and Congress.

My computer has been running great all day, but FR froze up just when I was about to post about Able Danger and what they found regarding SecDef Perry, which is why Able Danger was stopped and their information - including info about Mohammad Atta - was destroyed. The datamining showed suspicious connections with people at Stanford University, SecDef Perry, and the Chinese military.

Perry staved off a FOIA request until he was out of office, when a judge ruled that the documents had to be disclosed to Judicial Watch, and they revealed that it was Perry’s own company which had sold forbidden satellite encryption technology to what Perry had known was a company owned by the Chinese military leader’s wife.

The Thompson Report had recommended that Janet Reno investigate potential Chinese front companies, and the Cox Report had recommended Reno investigate the connections between the Chinese and Clinton’s campaign funding. Reno refused to investigate either thing. Shortly after she refused was when Able Danger was begun.

When Perry found out that Able Danger had been able to discover the suspicious connections he got rid of Able Danger’s data to cover his own axx even if that meant throwing away actionable intelligence that could have prevented 9-11.

IOW, 3,000+ innocent Americans died to cover our own Secretary of Defense’s axx - the one who swore to defend the nation and the Constitution.

And the 9-11 Commission refused to look at that issue, partly because Jamie Gorelick was on the commission, and was the person who instituted the policy of forbidding the FBI, CIA, and military intelligence groups from sharing actionable intelligence with each other - although it was admitted that Atta and the Brooklyn cell didn’t qualify to have the protection of the “Gorelick Wall” anyway. The records destruction was entirely because Perry KNEW Able Danger’s work was accurate since it had thrown up red flags about his own treachery. He knew the technology was effective, which makes it all the more heinous that he threw away actionable intelligence regarding a potential AQ terror cell.

When Rep Curt Weldon was pushing to get to the bottom of this, the DOD forbade Schaffer and any of the others from testifying before Congress, and Weldon was defeated in the next election after a big democratic smear campaign. Schaffer and the other members of Able Danger were also smeared and gagged. It’s Schaffer’s book that the military bought the entire first printing of, in order to keep anybody from being able to read it.

When I look at the crap that the military lawyers are coming up with in the Lakin case I think of the way our DOD sold out this nation to cover their good ol’ boy, and I’m disgusted.

The real “truther” theory shouldn’t be that the government demolished the twin towers with explosives and staged the hijacked flights with special suicide agents, but that the US domestic security infrastructure was so hamstrung by Clinton’s politicos that it made us sitting ducks for islamic terrorists. That’s the real truth.

Well, this type of intel is what sank our Tea Party candidate for governor here in Texas. Debra Medina was sand bagged by GlennBeck over this issue because she admitted she had supporters who thought the gov’t might be covering up something about 911. Medina was riding high in the polls at the time and sank twenty points in the primary after the interview on Beck’s radio show.

She was needed here in our state as now it seems Rick Perry may lose to the democrat. She was standing strong on the sovereign state issues and is trying to get property taxes replaced by consumer tax so people can actually own their homes.

This is not the time for the faint of heart voters too scared to vote against incumbents for ordinary citizens. I thought Texans were courageous, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks goodness other states are standing up for the job of replacing present Congress with servant minded citizens, as our forefathers envisioned for the republic.

Thanks butterdezillion! It is all starting to come back to me now. I remember the gag orders and how outraged we all were. I'll have to go through my thumb drives from my old computers to see what I can find from back then.

I was reading about this here. You may want to read through the posts over there. Quite informative.

Funny how I can hardly remember what I did today but I can remember some of this stuff as if it was etched into my brain. The names evade me, and the dates, but the overall story was so infuriating to me that I don’t think I could ever forget it.

It was when I first realized that though the rank and file military people are some of the finest people on earth, the leadership can be as crooked as the day is long; I don’t trust them.

My godson was telling me how glad he is that the military is so apolitical, and I just kept quiet, realizing he’ll get an education quickly enough. He was commissioned into the USMC this past spring.

As I watch what the lawyers and judge are doing in the Lakin case I find the same feelings coming back, that I had when I first realized that our Secretary of Defense sacrificed 3,000 innocent people in order to get the blood money he made on that illegal technology sale.

The military leadership and lawyers have a track record and unfortunately they are living down to it even now.

You’ve got to be kidding me. What was it? 3-4 yrs ago Freepers were trying to get the media to investigate the Able Danger cover up and they all looked the other way. Including Fox. Now it’s in the news. This is what infuriates me.

I don’t remember any particulars about it as I was unable to follow all of the posts here but I do remember Freepers digging up a lot of info that was totally ignored by anybody who get that info out to the public.
