Recent attacks are going after software on the machines and not the OS specifically.
PhP and web servers are another area that frequently targeted on linux machines. Generally not a big deal on desktops but horrendous on servers. A recent press release by Mcafee indicated the vast majority of infections today come from legitimate mainstream web sites.

Please show where I have posted to a mac thread since that last one? If not admit you are wrong or just plain lying.
Since the last time, I have not seen you on a Mac thread. I only have to promise once. By what you say now, I am assuming that you will not break your word again.
As for your comments about emails going to Jim, I let you know. I TOLD YOU that I was cc’ing Jim so that you knew to stop sending unasked for, and very unpleasant emails to my mailbox. But you were informed.

This is not a mac thread, so I have not broken my word. twice you’ve stated I had broke my word and was posting on mac threads. Please provide a specific instance since Jim told us to stay of mac threads. Otherwise I expect a public apology just as you’ve publicly attacked me.
I have been brutally attacked on this thread despite never mentioning mac. I have been sworn at, insulted, and had nasty profane private messages sent to me.
As for the PMs, I asked you to stop harassing me as I have asked others, but you kept baiting me. Then behind my back you started copying Jim and the mods. Yet if I copy the mods I get called a whiner and have insulting graphics posted to me.
I have complied with the request and instructions to stay off mac threads, and yet mac users search me out and attack me for simple posts on a thread about Microsoft.
Is this a one way street?
Did you not see my previous post? I said that you promised twice, broke your word the first time but I have not seen you on a Mac thread since the second promise.
Twice you infiltrated my mail without my having sent you anything. The last time you mailed me suggesting I choke as I recall. Two or three times I told you to stay out of my mail and cc’d Jim and told you that I was copying Jim. I can’t imagine why you would want to send me mail as I had not sent you any.
The woman on this thread who said she was buying a Mac because she was concerned about viruses. I wanted her to know that Macs do NOT get viruses which was the opposite of what you implied.
I actually don’t see anyone harassing you. It is possible that you have a thin skin about Macs. I personally do not “seek you out”.
driftdiver, I have read the article from beginning to end... completely. I am competent to read what was written. Apparently some others, not naming anyone else. No where in there is there a hint that only computers running Microsoft's OS were the only computers on the Internet that would be banned... therefore, ALL are at risk of being banned under this proposed policy, not just MS Windows computers.
The only person here making emotional and personal attacks is YOU.

So now you are accusing me of a federal felony for sending a private reply. Is there no depth you will not lower yourself?
Unfortunately, this thread has gotten out of hand, and I very much regret my part in it doing so.
So I offer my personal and sincere apology to you and the rest for that.
It's probably unwise for me to add any further comments. I will only express my hope that this thread dies out fairly quickly and quietly, and we can go back to more productive pursuits, on other threads and elsewhere.

Why are you here in this thread? I thought you swore you never participated in any thread that dealt with just Microsoft and Windows...
