Flippin’ embarrassing? You betcha!

Sarah Palin has officially “jumped the shark.”

Last night’s premier of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” will be remembered as the moment the once-promising, conservative darling crossed over into the absurd.

Part Alaska tourism promo, part window into the family Palin, TLC’s eight-part series features clips of the former governor at home in gym shorts and shots of the family enjoying the great outdoors while she calls out folksy comments like, “this is flippin’ fun!”

If that’s not enough, Palin takes Kate Gosselin (of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” fame) camping in the Alaska wilderness - the two women reportedly didn’t get along (Kate, it seems, is a bit of an indoor cat).

Conduct unbecoming a former governor and vice presidential

I don’t like reality shows but I liked Palin’s show.

My opinion is that the show is about Alaska and the Palin family is just the hook to get people to tune in. Anyway, I liked it. Palin is a charismatic person and Alaska is unlike any other state in the Union. The hour show went fast for me.

I respect and honor Sarah Palin as much as any conservative. And there is nothing I love more than watching her courage and fortitude when she steps right into the lion’s den, stares the left straight in the eye and comes out, not only in tact, but stronger. I just don’t know if this was the best move if she is considering a run. But, hey, I could be wrong.

“I’m trying to imagine the Reagans doing something like this, and I just think my former C-in-C would have had too much dignity. “

I don’t know...it might have been kind of cute to see Ron Jr. dancing around in his tutu, and to watch the daughter-from-Hell throwing tantrums and tossing the crockery about.

Kind of like the Osbournes, no?

I doubt very seriously this is a new rule - no boys upstairs. I bet the kids figured om would be embarassed to enforce it with the cameras rolling.

I can't see Zippo climbing a mountain, but I can damn sure dream of him falling off a mountain.

Oh my word! Sarah Palin has legs!!

I never doubted that. It just doesn't strike me as "presidential".

Willow has very nice legs, too, as well as other attractive features. But several first floor to second floor shots, to be sure we clearly saw and appreciated those features, is tawdry in my opinion.

And what's with the stagy "boyfriend sneaking upstairs and Mama not noticing" schtick ? Didn't we see the results of that ad nausem with Bristol ?

Sarah was my favorite for 2012. This show (so far) is decreasing my favoritism.

I agree with that to a certain extent. The title doesn’t really reflect what she said.

However, the fact that she is so willing to align herself with liberal trash tells me all I need to know about Palin.

She’s just another empty suit RINO.

“...comparing her to President Reagan is far more laughable...”

I was a Reagan campaign staffer in 1980 and between his loss to Bush in the Iowa Caucuses and his win in New Hampshire the hive had Reagan on the ropes.

He joked he was “king of the grade-B movies” and “a straight man for a chimp” but it was his recent (perceived) gaffs that were about to sink him. His family was a giganic negative with Patty being the biggest problem. His age was regarded as a problem. We had never had a divorced president. The media that overlooks O’s telepromter addiction was all over RR’s “worn note cards” from which he gave “the speech”.

If you think Palin has negatives...you’re memory of Reagan has faded.

Less T@A? I didn’t see any of that.

Willow's shorts barely covered her rear end, and the fit didn't leave much to the imagination. There were repeated shots from the first floor that emphasized that.

Just not my idea of family propriety.

Your mileage may differ.

Did Palin say she was running? Was that a Fox News Alert that I missed? Come on lighten up will ya? Being from the flatlands of Jersey you didn’t enjoy the Alaskan landscape a little bit? I think Mrs. Palin did a great service to her state plus gave us a personal side. She did not just talk about the many adventures awaiting in Alaska she actually went on them. And she probably could whip your flippin butt in doing so.

How's the view from that high seat you occupy? Pretty narrow, if you ask me. LOL!

The good news is that you don't have to vote for Sarah. There will be plenty of candidates for you to chose from.

She may have low scores and a chorus of critics wondering why she’s still in the competition, but Bristol Palin enters the Dancing with the Stars semi-finals Monday night with mom Sarah Palin fully behind her.

“I slept in her bed with her and we stayed up talking,” Sarah tells PEOPLE of a recent bedtime pep talk during a visit to Los Angeles, where Bristol is competing on DWTS. “We were both saying the criticism of her on the show, by some, is that she doesn’t come across as a performer, as an actress. And she’s like, ‘I’m not!’ And I’m like, ‘Why not dig really deep and prove the naysayers wrong?’ “

Palin, whose own reality show debuted on TLC Sunday, says DWTS has been a blessing to Bristol, 20, after a tough couple years, during which she weathered teen pregnancy, her mom’s bruising vice presidential campaign alongside John McCain, single motherhood and a very public and painful breakup with former fiancé Levi Johnston.

“To have her now turn that into dancing, it’s a beautiful picture,” her mother says. “She’s a happy kid with a good attitude, good perspective, everything’s about thinking positively and exchanging beauty for ashes . . . She’s putting her life in God’s hands and it’s scriptural, too, where it says, ‘He will turn your mourning into dancing.’ “ -people.com

I don’t hate the woman.

My word people, why the slavish devotion to an empty RINO suit just because it wears a skirt?

I think she is blowing her prestige out the window.

Oh, do a good job at something, and the prestige comes back.

I've pretty much had it with the folks with prestigious degrees: Harvard, Yale, Rhodes Scholars and so on. And that goes for the one who had the prestigious jobs at CIA and the Senate.

I'll take the guy that let himself be upstaged by a chimp or the gal that is pretty good at laughing at her own fear of heights, while not giving in to it.
